“Because of you, Goddess.” his voice thundered inside her skull, resonating with a language older than time. “The blood moon woke me and because of you, others will wake too.”
Her knees buckled and Axel caught her, his grip iron around her waist, though his own face was pale with shock.
“What the hell are you?” he demanded hoarsely.
