He immediately removed his hand from my shoulder and backed away. "Feisty, I like that." The fallen angel, Az , turned his gaze towards Alexander and gave him a nod of approval. "I now see why you're obsessed with her." Alexander looked taken aback. He pursed his lips with annoyance. "I'm not obsessed with her, I want to kill her." He emphasized his words. I found myself glaring at his tall figure. No need to be that blunt about it. "Hot, hot. Tell me more." Az looked at the both of us with lust. Well damn, someone has been lonely for a very long time.

Past in Axons POV I go by the name of Axon Blaze, and I am a freshman at the University of Stanford. Unfortunately, my life is anything but average for a college student. The truth is Axon Blaze is not my real name. It is an alias I use, so no one knows who I am. Thanks to my father and his powerful enemies, I have to hide.

I extended my arm, "I'm Jade." His hands were so big, they almost wrapped around mine and I swear I felt a jolt electricity course through me the moment our palms connected. "Blake Wilson, and I've heard a lot about you." he smiled softly. We stayed like that for a while, his hands were soft and his eyes looked as blue as the ocean, I felt like I was going to drown, until my stupid brother had to interfere. "Yeah no, that," he took our hands and separated them, "this can't happen." he said then turned to Blake, "Her," he pointed at me, "no kissing, no touching, no sex, no and I repeat, NO DATING"

“I made you famous, I made you powerful, I made you rich and invincible and you aren’t even grateful enough to appreciate the times when we worked as a team.” “You made me a beast,” I said in grief. “Now, I’m just a villain in every wolf storybook. The anti-hero to every little wolf-child.” “Stop crying over spilt milk, Blade. There’s nothing you can do anymore, all the efforts you’ve made in the past three years turned out fruitless and when I eventually take control, I would make sure the world never forgets The Ripper.” “I’m sure you’re excited.” I said with a defeated voice.

And I always was. Axel didn’t even pretend to be okay. He stopped talking to everyone. He disappeared during the day, skipped classes, came home late, and when he eventually showed up, he just… stared at me. He kept acting like he wanted to say something to me but didn’t know how. His eyes always looked empty, as if there was something broken inside him. And then Blake Coleman showed up. I’d seen him around a few times because he was from the neighboring pack, the Blackridge pack. He was charming and had a good-looking face that always made girls giggle, but he wasn’t arrogant and full of himself like I expected. He seemed calm and down-to-earth.

I’m staring down the two wolves in front of me. Blaise – Vitali’s wolf – is crouched in front of me to the right, and Angel – Tyson’s wolf – is crouched to the left. Axel and I are trying to coordinate our attacks better. I’m the extra set of eyes, assessing the situation and looking for the best attacks while Axel fights. We’ve always been a team, but right now we’re trying harder than ever to be the best team we can be.

I was wrapped in my robe, holding myself, just staring at the teal sequin covered dress. “Alexander is gonna test us all tonight, one of his contacts hasn’t been in contact with him for almost two weeks now,” Blaze confessed, his concern earlier had now become clearer for me. It wasn’t me he’d been concerned about, moreover it was his cover and whether or not it had been blown. “I can almost certainly guarantee he is going to do something to either get a reaction out of you, one that will allow him to exert some sort of power that could possibly land both you and those you care about into trouble.”

Alexander was silent, and this clearly shows that whatever Blaze is saying is the truth. Eva felt a wave of betrayal and shock wash over her as she processed Blaze's words. The realization that she had been manipulated and used as a pawn in a dangerous game left her feeling sick to her stomach. She couldn't believe that someone she had considered a friend would go to such lengths to deceive her. As she looked into Alexander's eyes, she saw the confirmation she dreaded—he had been a part of this twisted plan all along. The sense of betrayal cut deep, and Eva knew that things would never be the same between them.

Ava grins at my gesture and pulls out a chair for herself too. "What would you like to drink babe?" I drawl at Blaze and she gives me a look that says —'are you nuts?' Probably I just need an escape plan else I bask in the claws of Raleigh. "You are his girlfriend?" Raleigh asks Blaze and I squeeze her hands underneath the table, wordlessly begging her to play along. I sigh when Blaze pulls off her charming smile. "Hi I'm Bliss. . Bliss Carnap and you are?" "She is Raleigh, Raleigh Lockwood. . my highschool mate" I offer.
