I help her climb on and sit her down in front of me. She scoots forward and drapes her legs over each of mine so she can be closer to me. Her long, narrow eyes were scheming, but also sly and malicious. Selina lowered her eyes and looked at the person kneeling on the ground. Her blonde hair was floating, and her color was bright and gentle like the morning sun, like a soft patch of sunlight slung over her pearly shoulders. Those blue eyes, like the autumn sky, were full of helplessness, then intertwined with hatred and sadness. The turbulent emotions in those eyes were like a whirlpool, wanting to pull her in and then break her flesh and bones.

The vampire strolled in, blond hair catching the dim light, green eyes sharp as knives despite the lazy tone of his voice. He looked between me and the stranger, expression unreadable.

“Luna is a sunlight witch AND a shifter.” Silas announced, and my heart threatened to rip out of my chest. “She can also heal a vampire who is on the brink of death from Diamond poisoning, something which Vincent can attest to.” Added Ezio, and I could picture the shrug he had given as he broke the news, acting a though such a thing was common.
