I started to read, my fingers tracing the words. It was not a book of happy stories. It was a history. It spoke of the great power of the dragon-blooded—flight, fire, scales that could turn a sword. But it also spoke of the dangers. The fire could burn the user from the inside if not controlled. Strong emotions could trigger a shift, a loss of control that could hurt innocent people. The power could consume you, turn you into a monster of pure instinct. I looked up at Eren, my stomach tight with a new fear. "It says the power can be... dangerous. To everyone."

But that wasn’t what stole my breath. Standing before us, massive and impossible in the rooftop lights, was a dragon. A silver-scaled, ancient-eyed dragon. Watching us. Calm. “Soren,” I breathed, my voice barely there. “He’s called Obsidian. He’s a friend,” Soren said proudly. “He’s our ride.” Before I could decide if I was hallucinating, he was lifting me onto the creature’s surprisingly comfortable, leathery back. Obsidian shifted, muscles rolling beneath us, and then—with a single, mighty push of his wings—we were airborne.

“I was scanning the area, and suddenly a Dire Wolf shows up without alarming me, and I’m able to cut into the void?” “It would seem you have two new powers,” Drake replied. “Two new powers? What are they?” Blake asked, eager to know. “Time and Space seem to have manifested in your Divine Sea World.” The Eastern Dragon replied. “Truly, you must have been born under the luck star.” “Space and Time? Do you mean I can manipulate them to my advantage? I need to research my mind palace for ways to control these.” Blake said thinking he could use these powers as an advantage to his enemies.

I felt my eyes change colour and Chase’s mouth opened to say something. “Brantley,” Abeloth hissed and I saw his eyes glow yellow. “Brother,” he said and they bowed their heads at each other. I felt Abeloth return control to me and I could feel it, the power, the stronger senses and I felt physically bigger. The power that ran through my veins was almost addictive and I knew that Chase was feeling it too.

I couldn't believe my luck—another skill, another level of power bestowed upon me by the enigmatic System. Grinning with a mix of excitement and gratitude, I expressed my appreciation, "Well, thank you, System. You're great, my man." Eager to explore my newfound skill, I delved into the information regarding "Dragon Abomination." The skill revealed itself in five progressive levels, each more potent than the last. The initial stage, "Dragon Roar," caught my attention—it immobilized enemies while its damage output scaled with the user's cultivation.

I watched as Draco popped a piece of fruit into his mouth, the juices still lingering on his lips. “So,” I cleared my throat, my cheeks warming, “Tell me about your magic. I’ve seen you, Azrael, and Orion use darkness like some kind of weapon, but I don’t understand what your powers are exactly.” Draco cocked his head, thinking my question over. The silver strands of his hair tumbled over his shoulders. “We do not have powers in the way you’re thinking. My magic is physical. I can control all things night, though I cannot use it to influence people the way Azrael can.”

He was the deepest thinker of all, so it is natural that he never misses a point. “You are right, Dad C. The first type of dragons who produce their own power are known as ‘Imperial Dragons’. They mostly use their spirit animal’s energy which is the hardest to harness,” I answered patiently but was interrupted by Dad Valen. “Xador ?! Is he one of them ?” he asked.
