I walked down the stone path and sat down on a cold wooden bench beneath the shade of the tall oak tree, leaning my head back against the wood to clear my cluttered mind. Suddenly, an extreme, unexplainable physical sensation slammed into my body out of nowhere. "Ungh..." I gasped softly. I felt completely exhausted for a while. A sudden, crushing weight pressed down on my shoulders, making my muscles go limp and weak. At the exact same second, an intense, burning heat exploded deep inside my chest and stomach. It felt as if someone had poured liquid fire straight into my veins, making my skin boil and my vision go completely blurry with white spots.

Vision spotting and wooziness make me cling on for dear life. He holds me close, supporting me, and eyes burn into my profile, but all I can focus on is not being sick in the short walk and wondering how something like this comes on so dramatically. I mean, I have felt tired and a little under the weather of late, but nothing like this until this morning. I’m not sure if that’s normal. Surely it should be a slow, gradual thing and not instant violent sickness out of the blue one sunny day. I might genuinely have heatstroke from our mini honeymoon, and this is pointless.

Little did she know, it was more than that. The sun goes high above when she feels so warm and dried. Her back felt awkward and numb, her shoulders feel twisted and painful. She was shivering, she couldn't tell what she felt when her body felt cold but hot at the same time. Her head pounding like a shockwave, as if her body was circling, floating yet she could feel the ground. Her head pounding and losing any ability to think, yet, she could sense every weak limb she currently was in. Her body was cold, yet she find it too hot that she was sweating profusely and it was very uncommon for her. She never felt miserable and just how she felt right now.

I breathed out, "God knows what is happening. I miraculously throw up sometimes, I feel nauseous, the temperature of my body is always hot and sometimes it'd just cold as ice, and this fatigue does not make any sense as well. Maybe, I am just stressing too much." It seemed like Sarah did not take this matter as lightly as I did. Her expression changed and a strange kind of dismay draped over her expression which unnerved me at some point. "Come with me." She grabbed a gentle hold of my hand, led me outside the bathroom and made me sit on the bed. "Sarah, what happened?" I asked, perpetual confusion taking over me. What's happening? "Are you okay Tin?" He asks worriedly. I nod, "I'm fine. Just a dizzy spell." Is the room really warm or am I not well? "It's so hot." Pan groans as he takes his top off. "I feel so hot too." I moan as my body heats up all over. My sight is blurry as I try to stay standing but I fall onto my bed as my body feels like it is on fire. I pull off my top layer, not being able to endure it anymore.

I told a maid passing by. She bowed and quickly cleared the snacks and empty glasses. After she left, I leaned back against the sofa and closed my eyes for a moment. That was when I noticed it. Heat. An unusual warmth spreading through my body. I frowned. The room wasn't hot. In fact, it was rather cool. Yet the heat inside me continued to rise. I loosened the collar of my shirt. A few minutes passed. The discomfort only worsened. My breathing became heavier. My pulse accelerated. I sat upright immediately. Something was wrong. Very wrong. A dull ache began building behind my eyes.

The cool water didn't help. I felt like I was burning from the inside out. It was an uncomfortable, restless heat that made my skin itch. I touched my forehead and I was on fire, but I didn't feel sick. I felt... needy. My heart was thumping a frantic rhythm against my ribs, and a low, heavy throb was spreading through my groin.

I shook off the feeling, thinking was probably a bit tired and lightheaded from the beer I drank earlier. “Maybe I can,” he said, stepping closer to me. “And is that a problem?” I shook my head and then got super dizzy from the motion. I had to hold onto the wall to support myself. “Woah…” I said, letting out an embarrassed chuckle. “I’m not sure what just happened. Is it hot in here?” I could feel beads of sweat forming on my forehead and my breathing was getting heavier. Why was I getting so hot all of a sudden?

She was still thinking about their almost-kiss yesterday, the way Freya had burst in at the worst possible moment, when the first wave of heat hit her. It started as a warm flush across her skin, nothing alarming. But within minutes, it had intensified to a burning sensation that made her push away from the table. She pressed her palms against her cheeks, confused by the sudden fever. "What's wrong with me?" she whispered to the empty room. The heat spread through her body like wildfire, settling low in her belly with an intensity that made her gasp. This wasn't normal. Even in her limited experience, she knew this overwhelming need, this desperate ache, wasn't natural.
