Balrog Novels & Stories

My choice was a simple one, or so my father would have me believe. I had to mate with Avalon, in accordance with demonic law, and complete the blood vow. Or else Avalon would be considered too much of a threat to the realm and she would be put to death. Allowing her power and the seat of St Leger power to revert to none other than Nova St Leger, the incompetent shadow.

My legs are very weak and I have to cling to a dark wooden cabinet on which are several bottles of JB, causing them to stagger. -I was always there for you, Lailah. -I don't want to hear anything else, I don't want to know anything else. I want to go home. I want ...- And I'm not going to let that Azael get you in trouble. I'm going to use you to bring him here, and I plan to finish him off with my own hands. I will protect you. It's the last thing I get to hear before everything goes black. AZAEL

In amongst the references to the Heolfor, the Byrgen-Beorden and the many other beings whose existence I have already read of, he mentions the little-known Bréostwylmas. Ulthar of Thoone, an Anglo-Saxon monk from the ninth century, was said to have conjured up these entities, though they inhabit not this world, but a higher realm. They appeared to him as a viscous, black mist with many mouths on the end of tendrils. He claimed to have witnessed them feeding off the negative emotions of lower life forms, draining them of their pain, their fear and their misery, which were like so much meat and drink to them.

Like he had built it out of Lego around him. The next to enter was Gamba. He wasn’t anywhere near as massive, but he was carrying a lot more weight. It was his steps that caused the ground to shake. His rocky features were a bit like the trolls we had encountered back in Flatland, but somehow even less human. And, in the rear, was Cheng. He seemed dwarfed by the other two. Even if we’d had Phil’s time-stopping device, I couldn’t see it helping that much. How do you defeat a super-sized balrog and a walking mountain?

He said. “First is Bacchus. His real name is George Miller, one of the gang leader’s right hand. Then Atlas, real name is Mario Ching. He is their intelligence. Minotaur, real name is Fred Lim. I think he’s one of their snipers. Cupid is Jay Kenley. He’s their hacker. And Pegasus is Jacob Frias, best in hand to hand combat.” Miko announced. “Let’s hope that they are the only one here.” I said.

To sigh. " Finish her." With this being said, he turns around to leave when I scream from behind. Clenching my fists. " W...ho...a..re you!" The man's back stiffens and that's when he runs his fingers through his hair. To let the hood drop. “ Cerberus… they call me Cerberus . The barrier between life and death. And also the loyal servant of her, my Queen. Heratte…” “ The Goddess of Darkness.”

Every legend has its hidden face and every myth is polished by the language of the poets who tell it. Ragnar Lodbrok's epic is therefore no exception. Contrary to what is known from the story of the illustrious and legendary king and warrior; Ragnar Lodbrok did not come into the world with the common physical characteristics of the Vikings whom we know as strong, tall and combative. He was born a hunchback: the bitter fruit of a second trick and a challenge that Loki gave to Hoder, the "blind god" of Asgard.

The day the new Pack House was finished, my mother, Aria, the Luna, announced the room assignments. Every space in the three-story mansion was claimed. The top floor was the Alpha and Luna’s suite. The room next to it—the biggest, the most beautiful, with moonstones embedded in the walls to soothe a wolf’s soul—was for Chloe. Chloe’s father died ten years ago in the Blood Moon War. He sacrificed himself to save my brother, Jasper. After that, my family adopted her. The whole pack treated her like a hero’s orphan, protecting her at all costs. I traced the blueprints with my finger. Room by room. My name wasn't there. I asked my mother. She paused, then spoke in that gentle, matter-of-fact ton

Major Dylan deadpanned. Aidan chuckled darkly. “At this rate, we’ll be driven back. We can’t have that, Eleazar.” Before Sophia could even contemplate what the rogue Knight was hinting at, Eleazar had acted. He raised his two fingers and chanted, "Rise, Dungeon of Torture." The water surrounding them began to rise and a wall of ice surrounded Zain, blocking his escape 360 degrees around and even above. ‘What is this magic?’ Sophia thought as Eleazar sank into the ice wall.

His eyes were pools of absolute darkness, his sclera was as black as the darkest night, but in the center of that darkness was a point of purple light shining in total darkness. The one on the throne was Zark Ar Zatho, the Dungeon Master and overlord of Damenburg Castle.
