Ban On Books Novels & Stories

My voice dropped low, I knew something about the book has done so something to her, so I needed to treat her carefully. “Some truths destroy everything around them.” I said, looking deep into her eyes, before I took her hand in mine. The whole place went silent and then I pushed the book away from her and straightened. “You are not allowed in the archives anymore.” Her mouth fell open in disbelief. “You’re banning me?” “Yes.” Her cheeks flushed red. “You’re treating me like a child.” “You are behaving like one.” The words came out colder than I meant and I thought for a moment she might throw the book at me.

“How many books have you consumed already” “ Just four” She curled her lips. What? I grabbed the book in her hands to check out for the title. “Caged” I said the title loudly. “ You consume a lot.” Bianca tried to get me to believe her. “It’s totally harmless. Trust me.” I checked the page she was in and raised my face to her. “I’m going to shut down this library soon” I huffed. She grinned mischievously. “ “Alright, go ahead. I’ve practically devoured the entire book already.”

Wilma ordered playfully, pulling out a magazine from her bag. I groaned, "Really Wilma? I've told you to stop reading those things in here, what if a customer walks in and sees that? You know it would be bad for business. It's a bookstore which intellectually stimulates, not some porno shop" I expressed. "Okay first of all, have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, the reason why business isn't moving is because no one is interested in reading boring old books anymore? This is what people are into these days, okay? News, gossip, all that juicy information.

Alicia screamed with a sigh. "You do know you are not permitted to read that book in your hands right?" Bryan asked. "It is forbidden in the palace for a witch to read the spell book." "I… I didn't know about that, I was just so bored and decided to read a book. I came into the Library, and that was the first book that caught my attention when I came here. I didn't know it was forbidden to read it, I meant no harm whatsoever," Alicia said with her face to the ground.

The bartender’s eyes immediately glazed over before it returned to its original state. Perfect. “I am here for a necromancy spellbook,” I stated before I pulled out an envelope full of cash. The bartender nodded and walked away. I guess I am supposed to follow him now. Shortly after he walked away, I followed him, and we came upon a library full of dusty old books. There was a magical block in front of the books which prevents anyone from just walking in and taking them. These books are usually cursed and upon successfully stealing them, you are then possessed by a force that makes you return the object. Upon returning it, you will be prosecuted indefinitely.

"In light of this meeting, the relationship between both parties seems to be genuine. As part of the university's policy, we can't forbid consenting adults from entering into romantic relationships, even those that are between a lecturer and student. Despite us unable to intervene in this relationship, there are rules that both parties will have to follow." "They will be provided in a booklet, but they would include things such as no sexual contact on campus, no preferable treatment from Mr. Greyson, No public displays of your relationship while on campus, and also, Mr. Greyson will continue to be your lecturer, however, your papers and assignments will not be graded by him but by the depart

That those things don’t happen anymore. And yet every time there was a festival at the capital, there were always casualties. “I don’t know much about the war,” I say. “I only know bits and pieces.” Yohan flips another page, “This sort of book was banned even for Alphas.” “Can I read it?” Yohan didn’t give me the book.

“ .. Pardon me mam.. I was just in a hurry. Kindly issue me this book." She approached the issuing section and reported the name, number and code of book along with the other credentials to the librarian. “Well, sign here." ordered the librarian drifting a pen towards the girl. She hastily signed the paper over there and before she could leave , the librarian spoke once again getting on her nerves... " Since, it is a prohibited book according to your course, so I can only issue it to you for two days. You have to return it back before day after tomorrow. Otherwise , get ready to pay the heavy fine."

The sound echoed around the room and into my ears, filling me with a sense of warmth and peace o could not shake. “The librarian banned me from borrowing books for a week!” “How does someone even get banned from a library?” I said my heart was still slamming against my rib cage. “That’s what I’d like to know too.” She scoffed, then rolled her eyes. “Can you believe she thought exceeding the borrowing limit was a good enough reason?” “Exceeding the borrowing limit is not something normal people do. How many books did you read?” She pointed accusingly at me; her eyes still light with mirth. “You’re one to talk, crow boy.”

I had memorized where the older volumes were kept. I scanned the spines with my fingertips until I found two black magic books that had not been touched in years. One of them had a faded red crest, the kind used before the kingdom banned certain forms of magic. The other had a dark, cracked cover with an old wax seal that had broken long ago. It was one of the early banned volumes. No one should be reading it. I pulled both out and carried them to a long reading table.
