Baron Draxum Novels & Stories

“But hers burns them.” "But isn't that an understatement? He is a dragon after, all of them can wield flames of destruction, although the intensity and endurance can differ. He is also called 'Merciless', that isn't a title that comes by just being a side kick as a dragon" the one called Baron Kuck pointed out. “And yet,” said the hunter softly, “she’s the one they fear.” Someone laughed nervously. “Well, she is vicious after all" The room went still again. Outside, a faint glow rose on the horizon—the kind of glow that turned night into day.

One very uncomfortable truth hung between us. He didn’t offer a seatand I didn’t take one. Arx regarded me with the kind of stillness only a vampire could manage—predator patience wrapped in perfect posture. “Mr. Draxmere,” he said, voice smooth as frostbite. “I trust the dorms haven’t been too… uncivilized.” “They’re tolerable,” I said. “Runebound wolves mostly just glare. Haven’t tried to piss on my bed yet, so that’s a win.”

His voice dripped with disdain, fury igniting in his eyes. With a gesture, Drax summoned forth a colossal beast from the dark portal—a creature that towered over the battlefield, its body a mass of shadow and muscle, eyes glowing like molten fire. This new threat was a monolithic embodiment of dread, and as it emerged, the very earth trembled beneath its weight. Xienma’s heart raced, but she stood her ground, embracing the power flowing through her. “We’ll face it together!” she shouted to Cassie and Xavier, rallying her friends.

It was a tentative touch, respectful and careful, as if he were checking to see if I was made of glass. "Open your eyes, child," he said softly. I forced my eyes open. He was studying my face, searching my features as if looking for a ghost. "Who are you?" I croaked. My voice sounded like grinding stones. "I am Commander Drax," he said. "I serve the Onyx Throne. I am the head of the Royal Guard." Royal Guard?

He knew he couldn’t defeat the Leviathan but he needed to try and save the humans. In the underground city, he was still weak and his dragon wasn’t responding to him at all. Then suddenly he heard the dragon warriors call and Drax burst through the mental cage. The need to protect the Trifecta Bohoja provided him with the power he needed. He has never felt as powerful as he did now. He knew he would have to find the Trifecta Bohoja. He could feel the connection to them and knew that they were close. So as soon as he got his friends to safety he would leave and find those he was charged with protecting for hundreds of years.

Forsaking the ability to be a man would be far easier. Ashrac's newest toy is a drone used by the earth realm's U.S. military, or so he tells me. It doesn't work, but Ashrac broke it down and rebuilt it so he knows everything it can do. Acasia explained over tea that Dmitri, an earth realm vampire and friend, is creating documentation so Ashrac can attend one of earth's scientific colleges in about twenty-five years. It will be good for him.

Her eyes are as deep a blue as I remember. "Hi. I'm Layla Ambrigino! Your father hired me to watch Lorie while you were away. It's nice to finally meet you!" Layla says as she extends her hand out to me shaking me from my day dream. Does she not remember who I am? I think to myself as a sadness fills my chest. I quickly reach out and take her hand in mine. Her skin is soft and cool to the touch and I find myself not wanting to let go. "I am Nicolae Draven. It's a pleasure to meet you Layla. I want to apologize for my father leaving so abruptly and leaving you two alone." I reply with a forced smile.

“And what have you accomplished on your journey?” She looked up then and said, “I have made an alliance with the dragon king, helped reclaim the Heart of Magic from the King of Beelzanborg, and overthrown an evil dictator.” Nya was proud of everything she’d helped Slate achieve. “Father, King Zar of Frindom, may I present to you King Slate of… the dragons.” “King Slate of Dracu,” he corrected, stepping forward. The two kings greeted one another and exchanged a handshake. “I apologize for your daughter’s lengthy absence. I needed her assistance in reclaiming the Heart of Magic.”

He turned around gave me a naughty look and ordered me to do the same. Before I even tried to remove my robe, he had already shifted into his wolf. Drako was really great! His fur was dark blue and he was huge. His gray eyes shone in the night. He came closer to me and licked my hand with his muzzle while I hesitantly stroked his head.

"I want nothing except to satisfy my curiosity and perhaps introduce myself properly to the lady who may very well tip the balance of power in directions none of us have fully anticipated. As for how long I have been observing, let us simply say long enough to appreciate her natural talent and note several interesting techniques that suggest her mother was far more than the retired Luna playing at human domesticity." He turned his full attention to Aria, and she felt the weight of his regard like physical pressure against her consciousness. "Aria Vale, marked Lun, and apparently bearer of a bloodline gifts that run deeper than most. I am Ronan Draxen, Alpha of the Western Reaches and someone
