The glow responds to every small motion, alive to the disturbance. She is hooked, craving more of the ethereal glow, more of this midnight magic. She shifts on the jagged rock, her weight tilting just a fraction too far. In a heartbeat, her bare foot finds a patch of slick, treacherous moss, and the world suddenly tilts— Elias's arm catches her waist before she's fully fallen, but the momentum is already committed, and they go into the pool together. The water explodes with light on impact. Every agitated molecule fires blue, and they surface in the middle of it—surrounded, saturated, the glow catching on her wet lashes, on the water running down his jaw.

“Anyway, fuck it we are all back together. Tell me for the love of god there is a bonfire party tonight? Can we get drunk and celebrate the end of the worst pieces of shit in existence!” “Hell yes!” came a voice as Glenn and Ariel burst into the room. Glenn wore the proudest, happiest smile as he walked hand in hand with the bashful Ariel. Glenn seemed to have more than enough bravado for the two at least. Ariel, although shy, was stunningly beautiful. Almost elfen with her delicately pale features, glassy blue eyes and white hair. She wore a long baby pink maxi dress, its silken material only adding to her ethereal appearance. “It’s very hot here!” she said, fanning herself.

I wander a little, breathing in deep. The air here feels different — fresh, cool, slightly sweet from the blossoms. It calms the jittery beat of my heart, just a little. I find a bench and sink onto it, letting my head tip back toward the sky. Just five minutes. Five minutes to feel normal before I go back in and pretend I’m totally cool with feeding two men who clearly own the world but look at people like they’re chess pieces. Except — of course — the universe can’t even give me those five minutes.

I took a deep breath before speaking. “Hello everyone,” My voice was barely a whisper when I finally spoke but I ignored it and started. “We all know the reason we are here. I am happy to introduce our new products to you all. Statistically, females who use beauty products are more compared to males.” I was feeling relieved now. “Now, let's take a look at the screen. We will talk about the King's glow first.” I said, directing their eyes to the screen of the projector. “The King's glow is a skincare cream designed to give the user a radiant and useful complexion.” I noticed they were all staring at me weirdly but I thought it was because of how detailed I was until Derrik banged the table.

The moon glows like a white crescent in the night sky out the wide window. As I gaze out across the lawn, Darren walks up behind me and drapes his arms around me. He kisses my cheek and makes his way to my ear. His warm breath tickles my neck, making me giggle and shiver. Goosebumps spread across my skin as I turn to face him. Darren catches my face in both hands and leans in to kiss me deeply. His fingers gently brush through my fiery red hair. He unbuckles his belt and I slip off my dress.

The moon hung low and luminous, casting silver light across the water. The sand felt cool beneath our feet. The world felt reduced to essentials. Ocean. Sky. Us. Then, faintly. Another chime. I exhaled. “Of course.” Gloss smiled knowingly. “Vacation mission?” “Yes.” The voice returned, playful and warm. Mission: Kiss under moonlight. Gloss looked at me, eyes bright. “Well.” “This is unnecessary.” “It is thematic.” “I do not require prompts.” “You did once.” “That was different.” He stepped closer, close enough that moonlight caught the edges of his face.

But for how much longer? Wren sat between the both of them; her entire body was glowing again. She placed the palms of her hands on their chest and took in a steady breath. The glow only grew more intense as she murmured some words in Latin. I didn’t even know she knew Latin. It must have been the moon goddess speaking through her. Not before long, both Gemma and Liz were glowing as well. Then, they both gasped for air and sat up. I covered my mouth with my hands to keep from making any sudden sounds. They both looked around wildly and confused.

BLOOM’S POV As the moon festival began, the Pack was illuminated by the moon. Celestial orbs cast their glowing beams upon the surroundings. Captivating sights shimmered and came alive under their ethereal touches. Lanterns floated gracefully, illuminating the darkness with their tender radiance. The stars sparkled and twinkled in harmony, and fireflies danced in the air, casting mesmerizing glows upon the atmosphere.

She whispered, letting go of my hand. The sky had darkened, and the sun had finally surrendered to the horizon, but the path to the gazebo was lit with floating orbs that glowed like tiny moons, hovering just above the ground. The gazebo itself was lined with vines of fairy lights coiled around its posts, and at the center of it all stood my Alpha Gray slacks, an unbuttoned white shirt that showed off his chest in a way that should be a crime, and his hair was tousled just enough to look like he didn’t try, which of course meant he probably had.

The sunlight filtered through the towering trees, creating a magical ambiance in the glade where the Heart of the Moon rested. The shimmering crystal pulsed with a soft glow, radiating warmth and energy. Elena, Lucas, and Marcus stood in awe, momentarily forgetting the danger that lurked in the shadows. “This is it,” Elena breathed, stepping forward. “This is the Heart of the Moon.” “It’s beautiful,” Lucas whispered, captivated by the crystal's glow. “It feels… alive.”
