This book cover was crafted from an unknown leather that seems to be a hide from a beast but somehow it’s not because of the cold feeling that emitted when touching the cover. “The true book of the dead… and this…” Bastet gives the book to Zhu Wushang before bringing her face toward Zhu Wushang as if she wants to kiss him but it got stopped by Zhu Wushang's hand.

It should be illegal to look this nerve wrecking. The first three buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing a patch of clear slightly tanned skin. The sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to his elbows, showing off the prominent veins that ran up his back hand. I felt the breath hitch in my wind pipes as our eyes met, his mesmerizing green stare made my cheeks flush and my knees go weak, it was like I was paralyzed as I stood there while his eyes still roamed me. His cigarette was out, forgotten as he stared at the screen with the eyes of a soldier realizing he had walked into an ambush. The lock then started to glow, silvery and dim, like the moonlight on motionless water. The circle whirled. The triangle moved. The queue moved into position. The lock loosened with a gentle click. The case then began. XENIA'S POV What I found inside was unexpected. No ledgers. No maps. No money. Just a book. It had an unmarked cover, worn edges, and a dark, nearly black leather binding. I cautiously raised it, half expecting it to melt in my palms. However, it didn't. It was heavy, real, and made of more than just parchment.
