Cailen found the boy in his room, already having stripped to nothing but his socks and playing with his Batman action figure, making it dive off the end of his bed and crash onto the floor. For what reason, Cailen had no idea but then again, who was he to question Batman's motives? "You ready for your bath, love?" Cailen asked, standing in the doorway to Ezekiel's room, trying to appear as though everything was alright even though he felt like throwing something at the moment. Ezekiel turned to him then looked to the floor where Batman laid, face first in the carpet. "Can Batman come?" Ezekiel asked, looking torn between bath time and playing with Batman.

He laughed. "That explains why Melanie made this book," he said. He opened to a page and said, "Look." I looked at the page, staring at a picture of Robin on top of Batman. Well, technically it was Bruce Wayne. I smiled and chuckled. Jace kissed my head. "You're my Batman, you know," he whispered. "You always come and save my day." I looked up at him and whispered back, "So that means you're Robin? And you're on top of me?"

She smiled. She pulled away and frowned at me whilst smiling. "You know, tomorrow Justin is going to pummel you to the ground," Audrey commented. I snorted. "After the weak punches he threw at me the other day? I'd like to see him try." "You're one hell of a guy, Batman." Audrey chuckled. "Back to you, butterfly," I replied. While we watch the sun go down, I can't help but think about the deal I want to make with Audrey.

"Hardly,The only thing I fight with is my hair and heights make me nauseous.I'm Judah." "Not that anyone asked, but I'm Wayne." We all turned at the sound of a gravely,British accented voice.Across from Logan sat a slightly stocky, hispanic looking man with wavy black hair. "Holy hell, we've got batman too?" I asked as his dark eyes lit with suppressed humor.I could tell he wasn't as tall as Keanu and he had more flesh than muscle, though he was far from overweight. He looked,well.....average, with a nice, pleasant face. The only thing striking about him was his accent that contrasted sharply with his somewhat ordinary features.Something about him calmed me though and I felt myself immediately tr

He didn't mind the sun, but Batman had a thick fur that wasn't suited for the heat. He tried to build a steady pace but was feeling off his game. After forty-five minutes of a run that would be forever engraved in his tracking watch as his worse time ever, he decided to call it quits. Batman was clearly tired of following his erratic rhythm and the usually soothing environment was getting under his skin. And he knew exactly who to blame. He checked his watch, hoping the time was decent enough to call his mother's assistant. It was Sunday, but he knew the woman didn't believe in weekends. If he had to wait another hour, he'd probably kick something. Lucky for him, it was already eight in the

“Well, my dear Goddess of love. Take care.” “It’s not the Godde-” I look up, seeing that he is already gone. I breathe out, finishing my sentence in a whisper. “Not the Goddess of love.” Who is he? Batman? “Thank you, Mike!” I shout into the tunnel, my voice echoing from the walls. But more than the burble of the water, nothing else reaches my ears in response. I climb out of the dirty passage with a deep sigh and after putting my newly bought gadget into the inside of my coat.

Focus, Audrey. I told myself. I then elongated my legs towards wherever I had perceived his scent from. As I moved towards the shelves, I got deeper into the darkness of the library. For some reason, someone had turned the lights off. I then decided to call out his name to figure out if he was here or not. “Bane?” I said, cautiously. There was no response of any sort. I moved again and halted to where his scent was stronger. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be preparing for school?” he asked. Even though I couldn’t see his face in the dark, I recognized that to be Bane’s voice.

******* HOURS LATER Audrey sat in Damien’s study and went through his books, she felt bored and couldn't fall asleep so she decided to go through his books in his study. She found out he had an interest in horror books, mostly about serial killers, she wasn't surprised though, it's obvious he can't have an interest in normal things. She suddenly heard a thud outside the hallway and she froze. “It's probably the guards.” She mumbled and continued with the book. The door suddenly opened and she flinched, she saw a man dressed in black, he wore a face cap and a mask, she couldn't see his face clearly. “Who are you?” She asked in fear and he walked towards her.

By the time the newcomers had stepped from the confines of a nearby alleyway, Lucas Walker was lost in music. *** ‘So, what’s yer thinkin’?’ Maud said walking into Agnes’ lounge with two fresh mugs of tea. The librarian had been reading Thomas’ comic for over half an hour. ‘Terrible artwork, not a patch on Bob Kane,’ Agnes tutted. ‘Who on God’s good Earth is Bob Kane?’ Maud said sitting down opposite her friend. ‘The Dark Knight?’ Agnes laughed at Maud’s blank stare. ‘Batman? Oh Maud, you’ve never lived.’
