Novel & Cerita Battle Of Blackwater Bay

He moved to the door. "Prepare the wolves. In two days, we march on Blackwater. And this time, we finish what we started." He left. Maya stood alone in the war room. Staring at the map. At Blackwater territory. At the mistake Aria didn't know she'd made.

He had slipped on the muddy bank and fallen into the pond. He didn't know how to swim, his life at risk. Mathilde was at a loss, standing there like a statue. In the nick of time, I yanked off my jacket and dove in. When I pulled him out, he was unconscious. Using first aid I'd learned from our family doctor, I performed CPR. When he coughed up water, I ran to the school for help. But fate played a cruel trick on me. When I returned, Sawyer was crying in Mathilde's arms, thanking her.

"You're coming back." "We intend to," I said, a faint, razor-sharp smile touching my lips. "We still have a batch of dough to bake." Thirty minutes later, the high-speed tactical insertion boat was cutting through the pitch-black, freezing waters of Newark Bay. The wind off the Atlantic was brutal, spraying sub-zero salt water across the low-profile carbon-fiber hull. Behind us, the outline of South Newark remained a dark, lightless void under the heavy cloud cover—a city holding its breath in the blackout. Ahead, two miles across the open water, the towering floodlights of the old Vance dry-docks at Berth 9 burned like a solitary, blinding halo against the fog.

“Blackwater stands with Ironwood. We will not submit.” I nod once. “Then you have chosen.” We move forward. The assault begins swiftly. Our fighters breach the palisade in three places at once. Shouts rise. Steel clashes. Blackwater’s defenders fight with desperation, but they lack coordination and experience. Our elite force presses hard. I fight at the front. My blades move with cold precision. I do not seek unnecessary death, but I show no hesitation. Wolves who drop their weapons are spared and bound. Those who continue to fight fall.

I stood in the ruins of the ceremonial clearing and forced myself to breathe. This was not the moment for rage. This was the moment for planning. What was left of Blackwater gathered slowly. Ten fighters. That was all. Ten wolves healthy enough to stand, to shift, to fight. Some bore fresh bandages. Others leaned on each other for balance. These were not the strongest wolves in the pack anymore. They were simply the ones still alive and able. And they were willing to go anyway.

Rue made a plate of pasta and Riley ate it while sitting on the couch. The television in the living room was on, and at that moment, a news report from Novemton Military suddenly showed up on the screen. "We bring urgent news. Five of Wyvern Peak's battle warriors were ambushed by several major organizations at Isle 416 during their expedition. Sandy Bay Harbor's reinforcements are currently engaged in battle, and Wyvern Peak's legendary Eight Hollows are leading Dragon Peak in this coup. During their battle, General Daniel Summers was heavily surrounded and received a hundred and twenty gunshot wounds, ultimately sacrificed in the hands of the Eight Hollows."

"We are Fated Mates. She can't live without us." They stepped over Sarah's limp body and charged out into the blizzard without looking back, carrying their bloody offering.

The morning after Inquisitor Vane’s ultimatum, the Blackwater River looked like a graveyard of iron. Three massive Southern warships sat anchored in the center of the flow, their steam vents huffing rhythmic clouds of grey smoke into the pristine mountain air. They were "teeth" of a different kind—not bone and sinew, but coal and steel. Rhea stood on the battlements, her fingers tracing the rough stone of the manor. Beside her, Elias was a statue of suppressed fury. The grey-gold veins on his neck pulsed in time with the thrumming of the ships' engines.

"We continued toward Blackwater." "No interruptions?" "No." "No strangers?" "No." He watched me carefully. "You answer quickly." "Because I don't need to invent anything." Another pause. Then... He asked almost casually, "Describe the Blackwater River." "The current was stronger than usual." "The water level had risen." "There had been rain upstream." "The western bank was muddy." "The eastern crossing stones were slippery." His pencil froze. "You remember that too?" "Yes." He exchanged another glance with Bobby. Neither man spoke.

"Tie him up and hang him on the reef. Let the Cult come and see what happens when they provoke Shallow Bay." Captain White led people to drag the priest ashore. The battlefield gradually quieted. Only wreckage, bodies, and the occasional groan drifted over the sea. Captain White walked to my side, covered in blood. I did not know whether it was his or the enemy's. Panting, he asked, "Lord... did we win?" I looked toward the black dots disappearing at the horizon. They were the Cult's remaining small boats, fleeing without looking back. "We won." The survivors of Shallow Bay emerged from their shelters and looked at the scarred battlefield. First came silence, then a cheer that shook the sky.
