Reno's POV I was more than ready to go. I had a bag packed that was always in my car and as much money as I possibly could have. That wasn't a lot, but it would have to do. I felt kind of shitty that most of this was on Jovie. She had to steal the diamond and she was in immediate danger with that prick Jasper.

I should have just listened to my mom and eaten the delicious Jollof rice and plantain that was cooked this morning. This was the consequence of disobedience, I thought as I scolded myself. I set my backpack down and stood up to go get my bags from the office where it must have been checked. "Where are you going?!" Queen questioned. "To get my buckets and bags" "You better just take your school bag and let's get out of here before they'll use cane to come and chase us, the bell for assembly have been rung! Aside from that, your bag is safer there". Queen said as she picked up just two higher education notes and rushed out of the room.

“Beans?” Emily wanted to laugh at their seriousness in guessing the answer. None of them knew what was inside from analysing it through touch, sound, and smell. Ludwig probably guessed it based on the name, and fortunately, he was right. If they had used the commercial bean bags, they would have contained small foam balls or sand. “Bean-go!” she cheered. However, the pun flew over the shifter children’s heads. Looking at the zip, Oliver slowly unzipped the bean bag to check its contents. Darren panicked as his younger brother ‘destroyed’ the bean bag, but Emily quickly reassured the oldest child that it was designed to be that way.

I go through the next one and find a few small cute toys. I then go through the final bag. I am, however, surprised when there is something for me in it. I pull it out and can't believe my eyes; the jeans are made of very soft fabric but instead of having a zipper or buttons it has a bit of elastic made of the same fabric, the other item in the bag is a beautiful shirt. I put everything back into the bags, reach over and place them on the floor next to the bed, and then crawl under the blankets. I am a little sore from the training with the guards earlier, but it felt good. Again, I fall into a restless sleep full of the same nightmare.

“I’ve packed the essentials. Kids’ passports are updated. But I haven’t told them.” “I’ll do it.” That night, Aaron gathered Ivan and Ivana in their room. They were busy arranging their soft toys in a neat line across the floor. Ivana was dressing a tiny stuffed tiger in one of her baby socks. “Hey, little warriors,” Aaron knelt beside them. “Would you like to go on an adventure with me?” Ivana lit up. “Adventure? Like… dragons and treasure maps?” Aaron chuckled. “Kind of. We’re flying to New York.”

He towers over the caravan on his hind legs, heaving with the excursion of attacking the first soldier. Another bear bounds from the forest and rams its shoulder into one of the horses, sending both it and it's rider to the ground. "We must go now, while they are distracted," Selma hisses grabbing the handle of the carriage and slowly opening the door. Trying to escape undetected is futile, as they exit the wagon in plain view of the bears. "Run," Selma shrieks and pushes Eliana forward. The Princess stumbles over her own feet and almost tumbles to the ground. She picks up her long dress and begins to sprint towards the forest, her long braid flowing behind her.

Alex knelt beside him, whispering conspiratorially, “They’re too little to follow orders yet, Commander Bean.” Elian’s eyes widened. “But I the boss!” “Exactly,” Alex said. “So your mission is to keep them safe from the evil laundry monster.” Elian gasped. “It eats socks!” I tried not to laugh. “That’s accurate.” And just like that, the next half hour was filled with giggles, crawling, and a full-blown sock rescue mission that ended with all three kids rolling on the floor in laughter — Aran clutching a sock like a trophy.

Zoe announced, interrupting our disagreement. "Coming, Mama.” We walked a little way until we reached the river's entrance. I watched as Zoe and her friends plopped in their tubes and laughed as English was dropped in his tube that she tied to hers. At first, he seemed a little anxious and was trying to climb into her tube, but he settled down once she gave him a beef jerky stick. Zoe greedily tore into one herself and washed it down with wine from her rum runner. "Daddy, you might want to hop in, or you'll get left behind," she called out, kicking herself away from the bank.

Fountain. “OH MY STARS,” Aster shrieked, doubling over in laughter. There were giant fluffy beanbags. A huge shared blanket nest. A bowl of popcorn so big it could smother a toddler. Three sets of the cutest matching pajamas, soft purple with stars and moons, even little eye masks.
