"Isn't this rain lasting a little too long?"
Felix held me close, frowning slightly. Beastmen were always sharp—his instincts were sounding the alarm.
I nodded. Fortunately, we had reinforced the power system earlier. Otherwise, with rain this heavy, a blackout would have been a real problem.
"Honey, should we go take a look outside?"
I blinked. "How?"
"By flying, of course."
He ruffled my hair, murmured something under his breath, and suddenly—wings unfurled across his back.
