You ingested five to six doses and that could accelerate your death” he grinned.

The place became awash with light, and the priestess chanted hard, Zane's blood flowing down to the fire. He suddenly fell on his knees as his legs twisted, his body shaking like he was about to shift as his wolf struggled to break free, while his human attempted to keep it inside. He let out a blood curling scream, and his eyes turned a gradual grey. The image of a black wolf started to form in front of him as he looked down, his breaths short, his body trembling. Dolores screamed and cried, her body burned, the pain was excruciating, the man whipped her without mercy until her whole body was covered with welts and burns. "You fucking bitch, I will not let you get away with this. I will show you how the Beast handles fucking bitches like you. I will kill you, you filthy cunt," he shouted, his hands reaching out, grabbing her throat, squeezing her throat, choking her, making her gasp for air.

We’re still standing exactly where she left us when she strolls back in. “All done. You’re all safe now.” She’s grinning, shaking her bold head like we’re the village idiots. “Oh, and by the way,” she adds sweetly, “that’s a Mexican Red-Knee Tarantula. They don’t make webs, only silk out their burrows, Logan.” She beams at him like she’s just taught a toddler the alphabet. Logan doesn’t seem to believe her. And the brothers are suddenly fascinated by every space in the room that isn’t occupied by a human.

With James’ help, the beast sorted out friend from foe and charged into the heart of the battle. The beast grabbed and twisted a starter werewolf’s neck, killing him before he could even cry out. The thrill of the kill flooded the beast, and he roared in satisfaction as he moved on to his next victim. While the others attempted to open the locked doors of the building, the beast was content to tearing apart any of Xavier’s men that dared to show their faces around them.
