The beast roared, trying to rip free.
“Yeah, scream all you want,” Kairis muttered through clenched teeth. “You’re not going anywhere.”
The vines tightened, then ignited—and the godbeast fell with a heavy, earth-shaking thud.
Dorian wiped blood from his mouth. “Show-off.”
“You’re welcome,” Kairis shot back.
Another corrupted celestial flew down—this one wielding two blades, both dripping dark flame.
