Chapter 14 - Entering the Werewolves Den

Amelia's arm was numb by the zero-degree temperature of the place. Intentionally, she ignored the cold veined hands that have been locked in her arm for a few minutes but with undoubtful steps, she continues to step forward for she feels that the house is calling her.

Amelia's eyes squeezed involuntarily and clenched her fist in determination. Her mind and vision were stuck in the glaring lights around the mansion's golden gate. Her mind battles about the real character of the house. Her eyes tell her that it is just an ordinary and creepy abandoned den, but in a mysterious thought, it is an extraordinary mansion with an eye-catching golden gate and strong green hedge that guards the mansion.

"Where do you think you're going?" A seemingly underground croak voice disturbed the serenity of Amelia's vision and fearless desire to check the house.

Amelia became conscious and slowly turned her head to the right to check who was grabbing and controlling her hand but a wild cool breeze shakes her torso and made her eyes shut for a minute. Her eyes bulged and her lips quivered as she realized that no one is laying a hand on her arm.

Her heart pounded and her spine shivered but decided to turn her head around to check her friends from another house but they are busy chatting with the real estate agent and do not even bother to look for her. She shrugged and denied her peculiar feeling when the golden gate alludes to her with a squeaky metal sound that caught her attention.

"What is in you that you want me to see?" She thought while eagerly continuing her steps toward the gate and when she is about slide her palm into the hedge, an undistinguished voice whispered, "You are facing your curse."

But her soul is under a spell and this did not stop her feet from finally setting into the round and gray pavements leading to the main door. Her eyes gleamed with delight, her lips curved upward and her heart raced into an overwhelming excitement when the cool breeze suddenly disappeared and the warmth from the rays of the sun hits her body.

For a second, she squeezed her eyes while her lips widen in delight. She purposely inhaled the fresh crisp air and felt that at last, she found her home.

The luxurious emerald green snake plants excitingly moved upwards and the blue velvet rose blossomed just like the rafflesia flowers. Golden lily vines were abruptly climbing everywhere and Chinese evergreen leaves proudly display their deep elegant color while Amelia is slowly passing them one by one.

Bright as the sun, the sunflowers faced their petals to the calming color of the sky and hundreds of white jasmine and orange daisies welcomed Amelia by expelling their magical scent like the fresh bamboo in spring. Amelia's feet were caged in the middle of Martin's garden, she elevated her chin and once more faced the bright blue sky, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath, then she felt that she let go of all the pain, grudge, and negativities when she exhaled.

"For once, I have never been this tranquil and certain. This warm and comforting wind is giving me an assurance of hope and happiness which my heart is longing for. I want more of this, I want to stay like this." These words are lingering in Amelia's mind while she greets and runs her fingers into the thin stems of the satin pothos that climbs into the hedges with her pleasing smile.

Martin was sleeping on the brown leather couch when his eyes widely opened in an instant when his snout sensed the scent of a human. Unusual as it is but this is not a coppery tang of blood. His fur rises and his blood rushed rapidly down through his spine when he recognized that the strange human scent is coming from a woman. A very gentle chrysanthemum scent picked by the careful magical hands of his fairies.

Unbreakable Lord Martin felt different for the first time. The usual animosity that he feels whenever a human is entering his den, changes into a sheepish beast. This nervousness that he feels when a woman entered his garden is the same feeling after being awake from a strange dream of a woman in a white dress. Which until now he cannot forget. That unexplainable overwhelming feeling caught his emotions in between.

Martin startled by the scent became curious and immediately stepped toward the glass window to check who trespassed his dwelling. But his attention was caught by the long velvety black hair of Amelia that swayed slowly through the wind. Her sun-kissed cheeks glow in every corner of the garden and her steps leave a magical ray of the rainbow in every angle that she poses.

Her cherry lips and pearly white teeth that when she flashes a genuine smile satisfies the cold-hearted Lord of the Tikaluna tribe. Her dark brown eyes sparkle complimenting her fair complexion that glows when she exudes gracefully.

"Is she the strange faceless girl in my dreams? No, it can't be her. She and the girl in my dream are different. But what if they are just the same? Get your grasp Martin, you are the powerful courageous Lord in this tribe, no one could ever make you feel dumb and powerless. But why do my feet shake and anxiousness is dominating my wholeness?" Martin's gut feeling can never be wrong, even when everything is out of his control.

Martin turns his back to Amelia and his feet pulled him into the kitchen to grab a glass of water, for he thought that what he saw is just a part of his dream, and with just a glass of cold water, all will go back into reality. There's no girl in his garden, there's no way a beautiful innocent- looking woman can enter his place. Few loud gulps can be heard in the whole kitchen and when he...

"Uhm... hello? Anybody home? Ah... I'm sorry, the door is I think, purposely opened, and so I already entered. I hope nobody would mind." Amelia's wide eyes and stretched neck reach for every part of the living room, her shaky voice and nervous grin made Martin's blood rush down on his spine. She entered his den but is not expecting any bizarre thing that could happen to her.

She felt passion has embraced her cold spirit the minute she stepped her foot into the house. The breeze from the outside has already cooled down and crazy dancing leaves were tamed when Amelia's hand landed on the shiny wooden doorknob.

"She's here, what should I do? Should I just welcome her? What should I offer?" Martin's eyes froze open while his fluttering heart whispers uncertainties to him making him more confused. He composed himself and took a final look in the mirror hanging just above the glass console table at the ride side of the kitchen and took the courage to meet the lady who entered his house when suddenly he...

"CLASH! CLANG!"

The sapphire blue goblet accented with golden strings at the bottom that he prisoned in his hand finally found its freedom, landed on the gray granite tiles, and shattered into fine pieces. Martins powerless hand tried to save the glass but it chose to let go of his trembling heart for the first time. Martin's knees became weak and folded it to the floor to pick up the pieces of the broken glass, but...

Amelia's eagle eyes and sharp ears ordered her determined feet to gear her steps to the left side of the room where she heard the shattered glass. Her hands immediately reached a big broken piece of the goblet while Martin's huge fingers also had a chance to land on the same broken piece and together they pulled it from the gray granite tiles where it settled.

Little did they realize that they were both holding into the same broken piece while they slowly dared to look at each other's faces and with their mouth wide open, their beautiful eyes meet in a paradise that touched down in their hearts.

Their clock stopped for a moment while their eyes are reading each other's souls, Amelia decided to let go of the broken piece of the glass and entrusted it into Martin's hand but his other hand grabbed Amelia's arm telling her that he is not ready to let go of hers.

With a more gentle smile, Martin's cheeks blushed and Amelia begins to glance away and lowers her sight into the direction of Martin's pointed nose down to his seductive rosy lips. His mouth is still in awe but dauntless Amelia decides to lean closer to Martin's face, she can not resist Martin's lustrous lips and wants to give him a kiss of his lifetime.

Amelia's cherry-scented lips secured into Martin's frozen rosy lips and warmth them when Amelia deeply pressed her lips into his. They both closed their eyes while Martin's hand decide to let go of the broken piece and run his fingers upward into Amelia's neck.
