The elders nodded but the fear remained in their eyes as they watched their King slowly slip away and the unholy monster begin to take his place. Jessebelle raised her well trimmed eyebrow and asked, "Who is her?" her face turned down in a frown. The king sighed, having no patience for the vexing woman beside him. And all of a sudden, like a wave it hit him... The sensation of his mates blood being drawn. Any control he had of his beast was gone as in the next few seconds he had trasformed completely with low growl. The elders all stood up and stepped back as the beast ran through the room and out of the meeting hall. Jessebelle stood up her eyes wide with fear and confusion before her knees

Tears overflowed my eyes. “Then tell me who’s hurting you, Spade.” The sudden tone change startled me. “I don’t know. A monster.” I covered my face. “I’m scared. Please, come and help me.” “Do you want this to end?” The voice hardened. “Yes.” “Then answer me honestly, Spade. No more lying.” She sounded angry now. “I swear I’m not lying. It’s a man without a face. A tall man with a tattoo of a snake on his right hand. He’s scary. His eyes are red. He’s a monster. Please, help me.”

Whoever tied me had been thorough. Wonderful. Who the hell had captured me this time? I shifted slightly, hissing as a sting shot through my left side. A sliver of light broke into the room as the door creaked open. Someone stepped inside. A young man with dark ruddy skin, sharp eyes, and short horns curving backward from his temples. Beastman. But not a tiger. Something else. His eyes widened. “He’s awake!” He dashed out, his footsteps pounding like a startled rabbit. I exhaled slowly, trying to ground myself. My senses were dull and aching, but at least they were working.

But I’ve seen enough blood to know—guns don’t make you untouchable. A jammed barrel. A second too slow. One bad angle in the dark. That’s all it takes. No, it’s not just the gun. It’s how fast you move when shit hits the fan. How hard you hit when your back’s to the wall. Strength. Agility. Instinct. That’s what keeps a man breathing in my world—not just the iron in his hands, but the fire in his gut. A slow smirk tugs at my mouth as I take one last glance at my reflection.

Only my name.” He leaned toward my neck, lips brushing the skin lightly, making my breath shatter. “Or,” he whispered, “you can give me a daring name to claim me with.” “There is no difference between a beast and a monster,” I muttered. His grip tightened dangerously. “Do not provoke me.” Taking in a deep breath and at the same time desperate to break the moment, I blurted, “But a beast needs a real name. Like Knight has his. What’s yours?”

He fought down a smile. Liv's breaths came quickly as her eyes locked on his body. He had muscles she hadn't even known existed. He was like a marble sculpture, all hard planes and valleys, veins popping out from his extraordinary muscles. When his thumbs tugged down his briefs, her breath caught in anticipation, but he shifted before Liv could even get a glance at what was under the black cloth. She jerked in surprise. Between one blink and the next, he'd gone from a muscled Viking warrior to a huge, white wolf. He was so large she thought he looked like one of the Dire wolves from Game of Thrones.

No, this was about losing something that he thought he owned. Drake growled, and Samantha turned her head sharply in his direction. "All right, My Beast, don't start breathing fire. Cool heads need to prevail here." "Your Beast, huh?" Drake smirked. "Yeah. You're name is Drake. That's a dragon, you sounded like your were about to roar, you were definitely growling, I think if you get mad enough, you might just breathe fire. So, My Beast." Vulcan watched this by-play with a great deal of humor. The woman shouldn't know his friend that well. But, it seemed that she did, indeed know him, and know him well.

What possibly could have driven him up the wall? “LIES!” he gritted the words out, roughly grabbing her by the chin and yanking her to face him up close. “Keep that up and I’ll rip you in half!” he threatened, every word spitting fire. Jasmine sucked in a sharp breath, using all her strength to loosen his grip on her chin. But he was as if made of mountains. Her measly strength couldn’t even budge him an inch.

Its massive torso is adorned with sharp, bony protrusions, giving it an intimidating and primal vibe. The Behemoth's limbs are thick and powerful, capable of delivering bone-crushing blows. Its eyes, glowing with an intense fiery hue, instill terror in those who gaze upon them.

I paused, “…you will stop me immediately even if physical restraint becomes necessary. No matter what it takes.” “Understood.” Silence returned again, but it did not last long. The clock suddenly chimed once, a sharp sound echoing through the study, then again, then again. A massive wave of dark energy exploded violently through my veins, and my entire body locked in place as pain erupted everywhere at once. Every muscle convulsed beneath my skin, and another growl escaped my throat, except this time it no longer sounded part human. It sounded fully monstrous. My vision flashed amber, then darker, then brighter again as my beast roared.
