The curtains were partially drawn, permitting the soft morning light to gently illuminate the chamber in delicate, muted streaks. This illumination revealed everything with considerable clarity, including the intricately carved headboard and the unoccupied chair near the window. The healer's table had been moved slightly, and its surface was clean and orderly, as though its previous user preferred to leave no evidence of their presence.
