A New Beginning
“Miss Griffin, that’s a lot of calls. Do you want me to wait while you reply to them?”
“No need. They’re nothing important,” I replied casually, my tone indifferent.
Once we were on the road, he asked, “Miss Griffin, is this your first time here? Do you want to go anywhere before work starts? You don’t officially begin until the day after tomorrow. I can show you around.”
“Yes, this is my first time here,” I said as I gazed out the window at the passing scenery.
