Haley shouted. "What?" "DO IT!" Ben fumbled with his wrist controls. "Pairing! Pairing! Connected!" Haley hit ENTER. CLICK. A sound cut through the humid, heavy air of the jungle. It wasn't a siren. It wasn't a gunshot. It was a laugh. A soft, melodic, slightly husky laugh. "Okay, tell me again," a female voice said through Ben’s external speakers. The audio quality was grainy, recorded on a phone in a windy place. "Tell me what you're going to do when we get out."

“She probably doesn’t know she’s been unconscious for a week. Elle and I already made bail a long time ago. “As long as Elle and her mother are here, we’ll make sure everyone believes this bitch is mentally ill. That way, she’ll never act up again. I want something else to happen anything when I suddenly want to cry when I hear voices, They are faint but they are there. I try to focus on them as much as I can but it is hard. The guy answered in four rings this time, and loud music blared into my ears, nearly bursting my ear drums. “Jesus Christ!” I yanked the phone away, wincing in pain. I checked the screen as though I was on a video call, then, carefully, I moved it back to my ears, keeping the killing device at a safe distance. “Damn it, Ben! You said you’ll keep an eye on Luke! Why the hell are you at a club!” I shouted, as if I were actually there with Ben. “I AM FOLLOWING HIM! JESUS CHRIST! THIS PLACE IS NO JOKE! I CAN’T SEE MY FINGERS OR HEAR ANYTHING ELSE EXCEPT— GIVE ME A SEC!”

Then I heard the howl of sorrow and I blacked out. Beep, Beep, Beep that is so annoying. Someone needs to turn that off. Beep,Beep, Beep okay I guess I will turn it off. I tried to open my eyes but they feel heavy. Why can’t I move my arms. What is going on. I’m starting to panic when I hear people talking. Just calm down and listen Ella. I slowly calm down and try to listen to the voices maybe they can help me.

Yellows eyes watching me from the ceiling. I blink and they are gone. I am safe inside here, I must have been dreaming again. I turn over and Ben is gone I hear his voice faintly. I wonder who he is talking to at this hour. I hope everything is okay. I get out of bed and follow his voice I hear coming through an open window in the living room. I crouch down and listen quietly. “No, I haven’t had a chance yet” Ben whispered, “I’ve just located one.”

I shake my head and then shut my ears struggling to calm myself down. " oh, there is no need to block your ears, baby. let it out and listen to me okay? please listen to me you have every right to hear what you want to hear." he says and I finally turn my head to glare at him when I feel a vibration coming from my phone in my bag.

I couldn’t get my head around what he had just said. “I don’t know; he’s not here anymore. Ever since Ayla brought me back through the planes, I can’t hear him or feel him; he won’t respond when I call,” he paused, “and I can’t hear you guys through our link either, but you can still hear me.”

Amidst if the fact that I can't hear anything from her. I just need her right now. So I fished my phone from my pocket and dialed her personal therapist's number. Just a few rings and she already answered the call. "Hello, Sir Gab?" She greeted on the other line while I let out some sniffles before clearing my throat.

“You found something? What?” “My... mate....” The massive shriek from the phone made me wince in pain. On the other end of the phone, I heard Ben shout out in surprise and anger asking where the attack was coming from. I felt bad, he was woken up too. On the other side of the call a few crashes and more shouts made me think about hanging up the phone. Did she drop her phone? I hear her try to calm Ben down and another crash followed by curses. Finally, the shouting stops, and she picks up the phone again.
