The Moon Shines Darkly

The Moon Shines Darkly

“There’s more to the story though, much more. I would encourage you to visit my bookstore soon so we can discuss in detail.” “You see,” Mr. Pendergast added, “I need your assistance, Mr. Haraldsson. My daughter’s life may depend on it.” Bjorn, befuddled, swung his eyes from one man to the other. Mr. Rosewood then added, “Mr. Haraldsson, you come from a long line of Vikings, famous Nordic warriors of old. They lived at a time when people believed in magic, powerful gods, and dangerous monsters. Nearly every Viking was a fierce warrior. The question before us is, are you a warrior as well?”

In the Darkness of City Blocks

In the Darkness of City Blocks

He picked up a bunch of books. - So, where is this little book with historical facts. Running his eyes over the shelves, Conrod thought. - Hmm, who can take it? Okay, and this is basically enough. Conrod rolled the loaded cart over to the small tables. One of the books lay with its worn cover on the surface of the mahogany table. A small table lamp gently illuminated the brown cover, the embossed letters outlined in small shadows. "Encyclopedia of the Mythology of the World." Conrod opened a page with the heading "Beliefs of the Ancient Slavs." His eyes darted over the letters, putting words together and squeezing information out of them. He carefully read:

"Davina Lynne Lothbrok Birthdate: 9/21/2005 Weight: 7lbs 6ounces Time: 5:23pm" "This is mine Ragnar, why was it hidden?" "Turn it around Davi" So I turned it around for it to show what hospital I was born in, which wasn't the one here, also it had a name on it, one I had only ever seen in our history books when talking about a royal family, the first werewolf family there ever was. "Freyja Mani" Old Norse for The Lady, Goddess of beauty, love, sex, war, and fertility. Mani was the God of the Moon.

Killed and Reborn: My Alpha’s Obsession

Killed and Reborn: My Alpha’s Obsession

My lips twisted. I flipped through several more pages, skimming for new details and new hooks I could sink my teeth into. There wasn’t much more about Elyra specifically. There are plenty of vague threats about witches in general. But no clear *how* to undo what she’d done. Of course not. The people who wrote this liked to catalog disasters, not solve them. Frustration surged. I pushed the heavy book away and dragged the thinner, darker‑bound volume toward me—“Northern Lore,” Rowan had called it.

The Swan Alpha's Mate

The Swan Alpha's Mate

I am afraid but I must fuel my curiosity. My fingers trail over books as I use my eyes to search. “History of the Great Wars. Wolf-Clan Genealogies.” Useless!! In a corner, I find a smaller shelf with older, cracked bindings. One title stands out: Creatures of Myth and Scarcity. I pull it free, coughing at the plume of dust, and sink to the floor in a pool of blue velvet. I open it. Swan Mythology. It is exactly what I am looking for.

Rogue Alpha and His Hybrid Mate

Rogue Alpha and His Hybrid Mate

Valerie asked the wizard. “The book of the gods was written by Xermes; the great magical philosopher. He wanted mortals to understand the divine nature of the gods and how they work. When he wrote the book, the gods were angry with him and struck him dead at that moment he finished the last piece of the work. His son at that time, had gotten hold of the information but didn’t understand it for it was written in the language of the gods which Xermes himself had studied while he was in the world between world. It was reported that Xermes happened to be the first sorcerer to have contacted the higher realms and also Loki was the one who thought him the various language of the gods” Crane finish

Driving The Alpha' Brothers Crazy

Driving The Alpha' Brothers Crazy

Theo's POV In my defense, the ward instruction manual was in Old Norse. Not modern Norse. Old Norse. The kind that hadn't been in common usage since approximately the eleventh century and which I read at an intermediate level on a good day, and today was not a good day because I'd been up since five AM thinking about what Zara Osei had said to Audrey in the courtyard and what it meant and why it had made Audrey's face do the thing it did when she was filing something under handle later with extreme urgency.

Fate Of The Alpha King's Luna

I tried to explain to her. “So it seems that way, but there is a way to fix this. You are a goddess yourself, Jocelyn, or at least you have the power to become one. See, Freya rules over a realm in Asgard in a palace called Folkvangar. To be welcomed into her hall, Sessrumnir is one of the greatest honors. It is equal to being welcomed into Valhalla by Odin. When things have settled, child, I highly suggest you go to Norway and get acquainted with your ancestors. There is a pack called Kampoks pack meaning battle axe, their Alpha is Leif. This is all I will tell you, as it is a journey that I may guide you too, but it is up to you to go.” “I have a lot to learn. What about Norris? It seems t

“As my soon-to-be-dead Paladin told you, there are no griffins in Nordmar or on Uzhor. I don’t think you will find help here.” “Nordmar might not have griffins, but it has the oldest Fire Monastery on this continent. I am hoping the Arch-Mage can help me.” Milton chimed in. “There are many books and old tomes in the Great Library of Nordmar. While I don’t know if any of them are about griffins, I am sure the Arch-Mage will gladly grant you access to the library.” “We are headed that way,” Rhobart said. “You can come with us.”

he expatiated. "Oh I see, but what is the correlation between Norse warriors and Berserker?" "They worshipped many gods, but we're more devoted to Odin, the father of the northern gods who they believed gave them the fury of the bear to make them fearless in their battles. They had a shamanic practice where they perfumed a ritual to Odin and besought him for the spirit of the bear. Those rituals involved a process where they spent a period in the wilderness living like their totem animal and after their return, they were buried in the sand up to their neck for days and dug out, as a form of death and rebirth."

How does this book have such low views? This is a masterpiece! This might be my first time reading a werewolf story so zealously without missing any details. Such a breath of fresh air and unique storyline from the other books in this app. The alternate universe, the timeline, everything is so good.

When I saw the title "The Lord Alpha" , I was like 'what the hell is this book about?' It never disappointed though. Wayne and Candice so much reveals how twisted our fates could be at times and I kept imagining how it'd be if I suddenly uncover my spouse was a mermaid or something weirder even...
