Best For Book Clubs の小説・ストーリー

Cause it’s going to be intense! I hope you enjoyed reading it; please don’t forget to comment and recommend it to your book clubs! Thanks for sticking with me!

The more I try to draw boundaries she is making it nearly impossible for me to control myself from going and grabbing her face and kissing the shit out of her. I take a deep breath and return a soft smile," how about the classics, lex?" I ask her to divert my mind. " well, pride and prejudice is the only one I can truly think of!" she caresses the book on the book rack. " hmmm, interesting. I can't find any better than that one in the classics," I say while walking toward her. " but I think sense and sensibility were nice too, you know," I whisper not wanting to disturb other people in the store

"What do you think about the movie" Flashback "I'll never run out. So its After you picked" I said dropping the blankets "Yup. The name sounds interesting" "Yeah because the book is" "After has a book" "More like the book has a movie" "How" "Its a book on Wattpad and that book is a bomb" "Really" "One of my absolute best" I said and smiled. End of flashback "Its a really good one. One of my absolute best even" I said summing up every other thing I would have said.

She reached out to take it, but Emily shrank back, frightened. “Fake?” Mia’s fingers brushed the smooth, delicate surface, and she immediately raised her voice for the whole room to hear. “Of course. This year’s Chanel limited edition! Evelyn, it’s bad enough you wear knockoffs yourself. Are you trying to teach your kid to do the same?” The crowd didn’t hesitate to pile on. Their pointing and judgmental stares cut into me like knives. “Mommy…” Emily’s eyes welled up, her small body trembling as she buried her face in my chest.

We finally entered the bookstore and I let go of his arm. “A-ahm, I don’t want to huddle there” I answered sparingly. A book caught my attention and I was amazed that they are selling this book. “Gosh! My favorite series!” I get the Twilight book. Gio followed me and observed the book as well. “I’ve already watched it” He bragged. I narrowed an eye at him. “Book version is still the best. The feels and emotions are there when you’re reading it” I answered. “But the movie adaptations are easy to understand since you don’t need to use your imagination anymore,” He said frankly.

Pearl yells at the closed door and Gwen giggles. Slowly the other women file in. I load up a bowl of potato soup that Julie brought. She even fried up some bacon to sprinkle on top and I think I've died and gone to Heaven. Gwen's new recipe for spinach dip feels like an orgasm in my mouth and I decide to ask Ev to do every book club with me forever, if only for the snacks. I listen as they talk about the book. We're on the downward swing of it now, the main conflict resolved with only the aftermath of the battle left to go through. It's a more emotional part of the story and I'm surprised Pearl even read it.

In fact, I can't wait to devour it. When is it coming out? I go online on my laptop to check. Next year? I have to wait that long? Now, this is just torture. I allow myself to simmer in my frustration for a minute. If only I had someone to talk to about this book, I'd probably feel better faster, but I don't. It's sad, really. The only thing sadder than finishing a book is not having anyone to discuss it with. That's why book clubs were invented.

Everyone agrees, and they spend the next hour debating which book to choose. The group decides to read "Neverwhere," a novel that takes place in a fantastical version of London. They're all eager to dive into the story, and Hazel feels a sense of pride in bringing them together like this. She loves her job and the community it has helped her build. When the book club meeting is over, the members linger in the library, reluctant to part ways. As they say their goodbyes, Margaret approaches Hazel and says, "Thank you for being such a wonderful librarian. You really make this place special." Hazel blushes and says, "It's my pleasure.

“You looked, I don’t know, peaceful.” “Honestly, this book is terrible,” Audrey said, holding up some thriller that I vaguely recognized. “I don’t know why the hell Annabelle has it on her shelf, but I fear for any of the recommendations she’s been giving out at the bookstore.” I suddenly realized where I recognized the book from. “Oh, that’s the one that all the book clubs were reading a while back,” I said. “She probably only got it because of that.” “Oh, that makes more sense,” Audrey said. There was an awkward silence. “So, are you going to sit down or what?”

The invitation arrives via email. It's from Lisette. The subject line says: "Book Club - You Should Come." And the message is typical Lisette. Direct. No preamble. Just: "I started a book club. First month we're reading your book. You should come read to us." I call her immediately. "You started a book club and didn't tell me?" I ask. "I'm telling you now. It's six women. We meet once a month. This month we're reading your book because it's important and it's brilliant and I want to talk about it with people who will actually understand why it matters."
