Briar Reef Murder Mystery

Briar Reef Murder Mystery

She had to take Don down to the station for questioning while they sent Stella off to the hospital under guard, not to mention getting in touch with Detective Branson to let him know where they were at since he was gonna want to have a talk with the two of them regarding his case. She was no longer doubtful about their involvement in that case, but now she was wondering with the expertise with which Melissa Sherry had been killed and the fact that in BransonÕs case, there had been nothing left at the scene either if there might not be more victims out there. No way were these two first kills. Which meant she was gonna have to go back over all similar cases with a fine-tooth comb. ÒHaving lun

He obviously loved thrillers as most of the books were made up with novels by Ian Fleming, Desmond Bagley, Hammond Innes, Ian Rankin, Michael Robotham and Alistair MacLean. My mobile sounded and I moved out on to the landing. Caller ID: Kimberley. “Hello, darling,” I said into the phone. “I need a drink,” she explained. “Bad morning?” “Ever since that break-in you investigated, Bio-Preparations insist on having an audit every month,” she said breathlessly. “Why have they got to have it on a bloody Saturday?” “You poor thing,” I said soothingly, feeling partially responsible. “So how about the Waggoner’s Rest?” She persisted. “I’ve just arrived back at the quay.”

Instead, he replied with actual books I’ve read before in my first life that he firmly hated. “‘Darkness Within’ is my first recommendation. Absolutely amazing. ‘Death, are you real?’ is also good, as well as ‘The Next Morning’. Those three are my best picks.” I blinked several times, visibly surprised. Earlier events completely shoved to the side as this new discovery of Cassius Silverton reading thriller books had me utterly nonplussed.

Murder on the Northwind Trail

Murder on the Northwind Trail

"So, you're saying that when it happened, that SUV was basically a sealed metal box. No one came in, and no one got out." I tightened the blanket around me, knuckles white as I gripped the edge. The words "sealed metal box" pressed down on my chest until I could hardly breathe. Why would they lock the doors like that? Normally, on a trip like this, you wouldn't lock up tight—it made getting out for bathroom breaks or whatever too inconvenient. The coroner kept going. "We'll check for mechanical issues. Odds are low, but it's possible there was incomplete combustion from the heater, maybe leaking carbon monoxide. Still, altitude sickness is the stronger theory."

Jessi reminds her smiling. "Of course." She says blandly. So he was your first? Let’s see. "So why hack into all the systems at the school and my company to get Hanna in, could have put her in some position at one of their companies. Why the Albuquerque CIA?" Nathan. The two are amazed, it is proof that they were even thinking that I knew nothing about it. They were acting here thinking they were making a fool of me. Fuck, she makes me feel everything. "It is indeed a good morning," I say wrapping more of her wild hair around her ear so I can see her face better. "Sorry, I fell asleep," she says. I'm not sorry. I didn't want to get into her Dad's allegations last night and even though she wasn't happy about it she asked me to read her the book she had grabbed off my book shelf. One of my favorites. It's a mystery novel about two mates who find each other while they are both trying to catch the same serial killer that's on the loose.

But I haven't been able to make up my mind about it yet, so I'm still on the fence. "Web novels?" Miranda repeated in surprise. "What kind of web novels?" Mindy smiled awkwardly. "Urban romance." Miranda was speechless for a while. Mindy was a published mystery novelist. Back when mystery novels had been all the craze, Mindy made her grand debut with "Murder Weapon" and sold half a million copies. Later in the same year, her follow-up thriller novel, "The Deserted School", broke her personal sales record in a very short time as well.

This is a good book. I enjoyed reading it. It’s been a week now with no new chapters. At least end the book with an ending instead of just left it hanging. It’s getting more interesting & I know the readers would like to continue reading it. You know the feeling without closure, no satisfaction.......

Frequently Asked Questions

The world of mystery and thriller novels is like an endless treasure chest filled with spine-tingling gems! One novel that absolutely stands out for me is 'And Then There Were None' by Agatha Christie. This classic is the quintessential whodunit, where ten strangers are invited to a remote island only to be picked off one by one. The atmosphere is so thick with suspense that I found myself holding my breath as I flipped through the pages! Each character has their secrets, and as the plot weaves tighter, those secrets unravel in the most unexpected ways. Christie's knack for red herrings and her ability to mislead readers while keeping them guessing is phenomenal. I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't read it, but let's just say, the twist gets me every single time. Another thrilling page-turner that really knocked my socks off is 'Gone Girl' by Gillian Flynn. It dives into the complexities of marriage and deceit, wrapped up in a sharp and clever narrative. Nick and Amy’s dog-eat-dog relationship had me questioning everything—just when I thought I had it figured out, Flynn shifted the gears! I couldn't put it down, especially with the way the dual perspectives kept giving me fresh insights into the characters' minds.

Then there's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' by Stieg Larsson. This Swedish bestseller introduces us to dazzlingly complex additions to the genre, featuring Lisbeth Salander—a memorable and fiercely intelligent character. Her unique skills and tenacity drive the plot as she aids journalist Mikael Blomkvist in solving a decades-old disappearance. Larsson's gripping writing style and deep dive into themes of corruption and abuse left a lasting impact on me. Mystery novels often keep you engaged through clever puzzles and unexpected twists, but these three really elevated the genre for me. They not only had heart-pounding moments but also profound themes that stayed with me long after I finished reading them. If you're diving into mysteries, these titles surely deserve a spot on your list!
