Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

Bo tells him, before glancing at Gray. “No, of course not,” Gray says with a sigh. “There was nothing you could have done to prevent this from happening.” “I have caught wind of a rumor,” Alazaer says slowly, cautiously. “Supposedly there is still some wolfsbane out East.” “Where?” Bo asks. Alazaer drops his gaze down to the ground. “Alazaer,” Gray says. “Where?” “Maine,” Alazaer answers reluctantly. Gray barks out laughing.

Beneath the Winter Moon

Beneath the Winter Moon

Celeste moved like she belonged there, fingers gliding over spines, eyes flicking toward covers like she was greeting old friends. Victoria leaned against a shelf, arms crossed. “You’re lucky you’re pretty. Otherwise, I’d ditch you right now.” Celeste laughed softly, brushing her hair behind one ear. “Go wait outside, dramatic.” They didn’t spend too long—just enough for Celeste to pick up a battered novel and a slim poetry collection she’d read a thousand times before. And then they were off again—this time to The Rue House, an upscale boutique nestled between a designer shoe store and a jewelry gallery. The place oozed elegance, with chandelier lighting and velvet-lined racks filled with s

Dark Shadows

Dark Shadows

I said going back to the office. I got on the computer and I looked at all of the attack zones at the moment. Because vampires can’t attack during the day, they can’t travel that far of a distance at a time. Which means, we might be able to attack them as we go. “Where do we start?” Lucas asked, coming into the room. “I think the best place to start would be Nashville.” I said. “It is the closest.” He said. “Yeah. They’ve stayed away from Mississippi unless they were attacking us.” I said.

Midwinter Town: A Novella

Midwinter Town: A Novella

“He has not; I forbade him. But I have had enough of it, and now I go to him, since he, being in service, cannot come to me. I intended to ask of you and my benefactress a refuge for this maiden while I went to Rashroff alone; but since you say that it is safe everywhere, I will take her. She is curious, the magpie, to see the world. Let her look at it.” “And let people look at her,” put in Zastar. “Ah, they would have nothing to see,” said the young lady, out of whose dark eyes and mouth, fixed as if for a kiss, something quite different was speaking. “An ordinary puss, nothing more than a puss!” said Sir Novoveski. “But if she sees a handsome officer, something may happen; therefore I chos

Daddy's Lessons in Pleasure - A Collection

Daddy's Lessons in Pleasure - A Collection

I didn’t hesitate. I pulled Fifty Shades of Grey first (cliché, yes, but I needed an entry point), then The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice, Story of O, a slim volume called The New Topping Book just to balance it out, and two anthologies with titles like Bound Hearts and Surrender to Me. The stack felt heavy in my arms, like contraband. I carried them to the my corner and hid them under the table. I sat down, and opened the first book.

The Necromantress and the Blood Princess

The Necromantress and the Blood Princess

I swallow the lump in my throat and descend. The air down here is cooler, thicker with the smell of leather and dust and secrets. Torches have guttered out, but faint violet light clings to the edges of things—my new sight, maybe, or the contract’s gift. The shadows dance ahead of me, playful almost, skipping along the shelves until they reach a particular bookcase. One tendril stretches, points. A heavy black tome launches itself from the highest shelf and thumps into my waiting hands. I stagger under the weight. The book is bound in leather so dark it drinks the light; no gold leaf, no embossed sigils, just smooth, inky blackness. The title is etched in silver that seems to shift when I ti

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Maddox just took the time to rush to the trunk and get his hunting rifle when he followed Gian across the driveway of a local family house. The front door was wide open, the wood on the door frame was splintered. Broken up. The moment he stormed into the house behind Gian, he heard a shot from the garden, followed immediately by a second. Maddox accelerated again and only marginally noticed the many family pictures on the walls in the hallway. He ran into the kitchen and immediately wanted to storm through the open back door, but had to brake, because right in front of the door was a blood-covered woman with blond hair, right next to a dead Proles - more precisely an Iuba.

The Alpha's Flower

The Alpha's Flower

She grabbed the book and flipped through the pages quickly until she found the page she was looking for. "What are you looking for?" I asked "A spell to take us to where we need to go," Joyce "Where do we need to go," Aunt Lil asked "To the most dangerous realm, there is. We need to go to Norvok," Joyce said, and we all gasped. I couldn't believe what she was telling us Norvok was the darkest realm there was. Evil witches and vampires were all that lived there. Vampires were worse than Evil witches. They had been our enemies forever, and that would never change.

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

But when she pulled a condom out of her dessert drawer and threw it to me, it was high time for me to go home - without a condom. I spent the evening in my room over my books and the new journal that Historia brought out every month. But as soon as I crawled under my covers to sleep, my thoughts were back on Nick and his brother. That didn't change either when I sat sleepily in the kitchen over my cereal the next morning while Uncle Roderick turned the toast in the toaster into coal again. "You shine so brightly today," he remarked. As always, he missed the burnt smell that wafted through the kitchen.
