“We can’t fight normally. Whatever it’s doing… it’s targeting the fusion. It knows you can’t act separately.” Kael’s eyes burned with determination. “Then we act as one but differently. We can’t let it dictate our rhythm. We have to force the fusion to stabilize on our terms.” Lyra’s pulse surged, energy trembling along the lattice of their bond. “But if we push too hard… we risk losing control… or worse. It could consume us completely.” The entity’s tendrils shot forward suddenly, lashing toward them in jagged strikes of energy. Lyra and Kael moved instinctively, their fusion allowing them to anticipate each other’s motions, dodge in perfect unison, and counter with arcs of flame and frost.
