Her smile didn’t falter. She leaned closer, voice low enough to make him strain to hear. “Dangerous truths are still truths. And lies?” She tapped her crimson lips with one finger, the gesture dripping seduction. “Lies are beautiful.”
The table rippled with nervous laughter. The rival leaned back, satisfied enough, though his eyes lingered too long.
