The Dark Temptations

The Dark Temptations

He said and Avery's mouth fell open even more. Only the starting is 100 million!? It's about to go crazy now... "120!" "150!" "180!" "200!!" They kept bidding. No one was admitting their defeat. "250!" Came a voice Avery recognised. She turned around to see Anna. She was looking right at Avery as a challenging her to compete with her. Avery is not a stupid, even hundred million is a fortune money for her.. she isn't going to go bankrupt just for some stupid kid's game.

Yearning for Her Return

Yearning for Her Return

Can you shut up and drive? "Give me a minute. I just started a new round. I've bought a lot of items this time. Let me finish this round first." Ellen was like an addicted teenager. David looked at him in disbelief. He couldn't help but speak up when he heard the game's sound effects again. "You mean to say that you need to spend money to progress in such a childish and boring game?" "Childish and boring? This game is quite challenging!" Ellen protested. The first few rounds of the game were relatively simple, but as they progressed, they became increasingly difficult, especially at the branching stages. He couldn't pass a single level without spending money.

Ellen Addawe
I like the depth of this book, the character of the FL wherein she learns a lot in her life experiences, her moving on from the past and enjoying her life in the present. Not the typical love story wherein after all the heartaches, betrayal & rejection, still the FL gives the ML a second chance.

I stopped reading this book the moment Rebecca got married to someone else and Daniel is dying of late stage cancer, after all he suffered in the hands of his evil brother and family, I expected a happy ending for him and Rebecca but the writer chose other wise. He doesn't deserve this tragic ending

another woman added, waving her card casually. I stood frozen. What now? That money was already too much for me. I didn’t have that kind of cash. I was bluffing. I could barely afford groceries this week, let alone Jazper Ray Gibson. I’d rather just… invite him somewhere cheap. Ashley raised her eyebrows. “Looks like we’ve got a problem,” she laughed. “Since three of you bid one hundred thousand, we’ll settle this with another game later. For now, congratulations to the three of you. We’ll see you in the next round!”

Broken promise

Broken promise

“Georgia was never good for you. She made you weak.” “She made me human,” I shot back. Thunder rattled the windows. The chandelier shook, spreading shards of light across the carpet. Mary clutched her glass like a shield. My mother stood calm, regal, a queen sure of her justice. “You’ve always been dramatic,” she said. “This tantrum doesn’t change anything. Sign the papers, end this sham, and you can rebuild your life with someone worthy.” “I won’t sign anything,” I hissed. Her smile chilled me. “Then everything collapses. The board will vote you out. The press will bury you. And Georgia”

Broke? I'm Sitting on a 100‑Million Contract

Broke? I'm Sitting on a 100‑Million Contract

So what if I tear it up right now? I was amused by her ignorance. "So what? A contract worth over one hundred million dollars carries massive penalties. You couldn't pay them even if you sold everything you own." Gianna didn't flinch at all. Instead, she gave me a provocative look. "People can't grasp what's beyond their understanding. To someone like you, penalty fees might seem more important than your life. But to wealthy people like us, they're just a drop in the bucket. "With Miller Group backing us, Luxara could easily cover a few hundred million in penalties. But if you lose a deal this big, I doubt someone who makes a living as a mistress like you could handle the consequences."

BREAKING the BOSS

BREAKING the BOSS

I gave him a disgusted glare, wondering how I fell for him in the first place. He was a deadbeat boyfriend who never took the initiative to treat me to something nice. All he had were excuses , constantly gaslighting me. He was currently unemployed for the past five years of our relationship and was living in the house I paid for, for free. Yet he had the nerve to cheat on me with my snake of a best friend. I felt so dumb for letting myself cry over his sorry ass. “Get out.” I seethed coldly. “W-What?”

I Lost the Game, Gave Away Three Future Husbands

I Lost the Game, Gave Away Three Future Husbands

After the SAT, the five of us childhood friends got together and played a game to test how well we knew each other. In the first round, my best friend, Millie Thyme, asked, “If one of us was stranded in the countryside in the middle of the night, who would you rescue first?” The three boys, all of whom others had teased to be my future husbands since we were kids, wrote her name without hesitation. Someone joked that they had read each other’s minds. Millie’s face turned red as she explained, “Maybe because I’m the biggest scaredy-cat. Hailey is so capable. She wouldn’t need anyone to rescue her.” They all nodded in agreement. However, they had forgotten that when I was stranded in the

The Ace at the Apex

The Ace at the Apex

“He’s crashing the game with money. A warrior. He’s specifically targeting Michael and Ms. Snowden. He’s too superior to play the game. He’s playing with money and the two of them!” The reality sank in, and Javier did not let the audience down. Learning Michael’s cool pose, he snapped his fingers as well. “You looked kind of cool like this just now, so I’m picking it up from you. Come on, $12,000,000. All-in. Let him appreciate his chance of looking at the cards the third time.” Michael fell to his knees in a plop. He was not trying to beg Javier. His legs had simply given out. He could not even produce $6,000,000 earlier. How could he fork out $12,000,000?

Dangerous Temptation

Dangerous Temptation

In less than ten minutes, the money game hit its top mark of $300 million. "W-we can't. We can't! We don't have that amount, Leonardo! Do something, Leonardo!" It was Zeldana's voice that speared through the speaker. The amount was getting outrageous, and they wouldn't be able to afford it anymore even if they sold all their businesses. However, another merciless buzz sounded, followed by Leonardo's terrified scream from the speaker. Greg's chair fell on the floor too, with a huge thud. The guy completely fainted after seeing the amount.

he shouted. “Only fifty thousand? That doesn't seem so attractive right now,” I said, taking a mirror and lip gloss from my bag and touching up my lips, showing zero interest in him. The man grunted like a pig and grabbed the game master by the collar. “Sell me more fucking chips now!” He sent it, completely overcome with pride. I was looking at him from the corner. How good it would be to see him lose everything now. “Of course, sir,” said the game master, handing him more chips. The guy was crazy; he literally bought chips worth over 500 thousand dollars, all to feed his pride. At that moment, people even fainted because they were so shocked.

An interesting start. I’m enjoying it so far. Don’t lose your way in the middle of the story though and rush things for people like me who are now invested. If so I will come back and give you half a star. Lol. But you are a great writer.

Thinking about this book... I love it so much, but compared to my first one, this one isn't getting a good audience, which makes me want to give up... but I'm going to keep writing because I just love this book
