I shrugged, " Do I have to know who he really is? At least I know he is very rich " " What do you mean by he is rich ? Are you kidding me, sis he is clearly a multi billionaire. " His own personal company ranks number one in this country, his networth is over ........." " Shut up favour, just go to sleep and stop ranting". I told her ready to sleep. " Sis, you are just going to carry a little Wilton, do you even in the slightest way understands what that is ?". " And besides I can clearly tell that David had a thing for you with the way he was behaving earlier". Favour kept talking.

I combed my hair into a pretty style, slipped a sliver heeled shoe into my feet and grabbed a silver purse, I loved fashion but couldn’t afford the expensive ones so I always made do of what I could afford. I took a cab and was right there on time sitting at a corner, I ordered a glass of tequila and kept sipping it gently not until I saw a familiar face walk in with a young tall man who I equally knew, he was called Kurtis Jericho, the son of the CEO of Jericho limited, they were one of the top billionaires in town, with my mouth still agape it fell on the young lady, the same one who had slapped me earlier today, Rita Wilbur, Finn Caddel’s girlfriend.

“Off? Haizer, do you realize how ridiculous this is? I don't want anything from your world, so let me get out of it.” He gripped the steering wheel tighter. “He wouldn't let anything happen to you. You know that.” “Do I?” I shot back. “He's the head of the Trojan Covenant. Ruthless. And I’m living on the same roof as him. It doesn't fit.” Haizer's eyes flicked to me, then back to the road. “Zeus has enemies everywhere. They will target anyone that stands close to him, and if they think you'll be of any worth, they'll use you."

“No, Laurie, don't call me that! Don't you get my indifference towards you these past years? Well, it meant; Don't get too attached. Well, it's time to move away. Good, now get up.” He didn't wait for her again and directly headed to her closet as he began packing her things into her luggage. Laurie watched him. Her body quivered. So it was true. It wasn't just a rumour that her husband had a lady whom he had loved. Laurie has heard rumours about Zane and a woman, described as a beauty goddess, Thalia Thornton, the only daughter of the superstar couple, Geraldine Thornton and Aurelia Thornton. The people who spoke described them to be a match made in heaven. Thalia is a fashion icon and a po

She just said the so-called hirer was a billionaire, and he is hiring staffs, which I’m sure would be no other but domestic staffs, but are there other billionaires around here if not Jaxton? Ever since I got to know him, I had never heard of or seen any other billionaire in the city. All I knew and had heard of was him all the way, and him alone. “Billionaire? Does he have a name?” I asked. “Yes, his name is Zain. He rules the city near us. Everyone there calls him lord, because all the cabs, hotels and estates in the city are either his, or affiliated to his company.” She said, spreading her hands to make emphasis.

He was a serious type yet still playful sometimes, a carefree Alpha. After we sorted everything, the last file.made my eyes bulge. The paper was actually a financial statement. And the digits written there are over a billion. How rich this herd was? Zeus probably noticed why I stopped and staring at the report paper. “Y-you have this much money?” I’m asking the obvious. “And then there you are selling Wolfnip. Zeus shrugged. “That was just my hobby. And don’t worry that money came from legal businesses. And it’s for the herd,” he replied. “Wanna see the whole herdland?”

Furrowing his brows, the rich kid turned around and asked the others, “Hey, are any of you aware of this Zeus Group?” They shook their heads to show they had no knowledge of it and had not even heard of the name before. Ethan was so embarrassed that his family’s Zeus Group was genuinely nothing in the eyes of these rich kids. It was but a small company. “I don’t f*cking care if you come from the Zeus Group or Deuce Group. Cut your jabbering and pay up 1.5 million dollars, and then I’ll let you take Thomas with you. If you don’t have 1.5 million dollars, scram!” the rich kid said tyrannically.

She doesn't want to buy anymore because Zeus carries too many designer bags, and she's also embarrassed because Zeus pays for all of them. "Zeus, my foot hurts," she complained with a frown. "I don't want to walk anymore. Let's go home. " Zeus smiled at her. "One last store." His snout grew longer. "Fine." She frowned as they entered a jewelry shop. What he knows is that the owner of the store is a Filipino American. His name is Clark Calvin Seville. He found out about it because the young man was featured in a famous magazine. He was a billionaire at the age of 25. No girlfriend and only flings.

Mercury was the only daughter of AULA, the most influential fashion brand in the entire USA, and her family being in a relationship with mine—solely based on business and a sprinkle of fake concern for each other's wellbeing—has caused them to derive a conclusion that it was better their kids got married. Not me; it could never be. Asher and Mercury, two big conglomerates with plans to form a merger in the near future. I still couldn't wrap my head around the reason for this when we had enough. My family could donate millions to every hospital and nursing homes around the world and still remain billionaires. Sometimes, being rich was more of a curse. The thirst for more rarely got quenched.

Mia flopped next to me and Ethan stood in the doorway with his arms crossed. “So Rafael Moretti,” Mia started, poking my side. I groaned. I thought I had escaped this for now. “I googled him,” Ethan added. “Dude’s net worth has like ten zeros.” “Why does everyone talk about money anytime his name comes up?” “Fine. We won’t talk about money. You show up on articles, holding the hand of a billionaire and you think we’ll let it slide?” “I was going to tell you guys in person. Like normal people.”
