Eden heard a sudden deep voice, and she looked up and blinked away her tears. And she was in awe. The first thing that came to her mind was 'holy shit'. In front of her stood a man who was wearing full black, he had his hands in his coat and a mask was on his face. He had black hair that seemed messily styled and onyx black eyes. Those eyes were strong but silent and Eden couldn't help but be drawn in. They looked dark and evil but also like they held entire universes. They were dominating, demanding, like he'd bring hell if you disobeyed him. And that's what had Eden staring.

Looking at his right palm, he winced in a grin under his helmet, still feeling the tingling sensation on it; glowing purple veins kept pulsating along with each struck of pain as he tried to keep it steady. “My lord, my lord!” The voice of the man on the left side echoed as he tried to keep phase with the one leading them.

I replied, unwilling to believe any Blackthorne would willingly ally with those who had slaughtered our pack. The basement opened into a series of chambers, each doorway marked with symbols I recognised instinctively as Blackthorne protective sigils, but altered, their flowing lines jagged and wrong. The largest chamber lay at the end of the corridor, its entrance sealed with what appeared to be a solid wall of darkness. "That's it," I whispered, pointing. "That's where the barrier is strongest." Kane's flashlight beam seemed to bend around the darkness, unable to penetrate it. "How do we get through?"
