NERO’S GAME

NERO’S GAME

“Then that tramp will have the pleasure of explaining herself.” Nico leaned back in his chair, watching the fire in Nero’s gaze. The demon was back and out for blood. That same old ruthless certainty burned there. It was the look of a man who’d kill anyone or anything that tried to move his pieces off his gameboard. Nero’s gameboard. “Tonight, then,” Nico said finally. Nero nodded once. “Tonight.”

Two worlds that collide

Two worlds that collide

"I’m going to give him one. But when the curtain rises, he’s going to realize he’s the only one left on stage. He thinks he’s the Vulture? We’re going to show him what it’s like to be the prey." He looked at the burner phone on the table. He knew Vivienne was sitting in her dark room, shaking with fear for his life. He wanted to call her back, to tell her about the tunnels, the divers, and the plan that didn't involve a single bullet. But he couldn't. In this game, the only way to beat a man like Arthur Blackwood was to let him believe he had already won. "The rescue isn't cancelled," Roman announced to the room, his voice echoing with the weight of an empire. "It’s just gone underground.

The Unbearable Game

The Unbearable Game

Her touch was like a remedy, icy, and yet it ignited a deeper longing within me. A nocked arrow must find release. At this moment, I realized something was wrong as I had never been so out of control as I was today. There had to be something in the air. I tried hard to push her away, but like an octopus, she immediately clung to me again, lighting fire everywhere on my body. Suddenly, I saw a red dot in the mirror. What? I threw the curtains open and found three mobile phones facing the room. The live stream chat was scrolling, with 20,000 people online. The protagonists of the live broadcast were none other than me and Heather.

Dark BL System

Dark BL System

Actually, that chalice was the simpler item that this blond man had seen in his life. However, when he felt the chalice in his calloused hands, he could felt the unlimited vitality emitted for the simple steel chalice. This entire bloodbath only to get this sacred item. In the view of this blonde man, this isn't a sacred item but a totally demonic item, but he looked to his companion that was looking to him as well. The young black woman couldn't hide the look full of hope seeing the chalice in the blonde man's hands. "Aysha, you can save your people now. Take it and go faster before the guardians of the forest came." The blonde man said, throwing the item to the young black elf.

Deeply in the game

Deeply in the game

she said, her words intended to elicit a response from the listener. However, Jerome was not the type of person to give in to a manipulated emotional response. He had a blank look on his otherwise lovely face, as if he had been stuck in place. Oh, but she was able to pick up on the calculation in him and the fight that was going on deep within his soul. Finally, with a tone that was tight and low, he spoke. "Once we're even, we're even. The game starts afresh from the very beginning." She responded with defiance by asserting that "this is not a negotiation."

Dangerous Game

Dangerous Game

I sucked in another lungful of air and smoothed my expression into one of polite neutrality before I answered. "Come in." The door opened, revealing distinguished silver hair and a perfectly pressed black suit. Edward, Dante's butler. "Ms. Vivian, Mr. Dante requested I take you on a full tour of the house," he said, his British accent as crisp as his clothes. "Is now a good time, or would you like me to return at an hour of your choosing?" I glanced at my phone, then at the cold, beautiful room around me. Like it or not, this was now my home. I could lock myself in my suite, throw a pity party, and agonize over the past, or I could try and make the most of my situation.

Iridian

Iridian

With each step, that façade faded, and the power of the Game Master filled the room. Even with that infuriating blur over his face, his power washed over me. It felt as though the entire night sky had been sucked into one small space, endless, beautiful, and dark. I was beginning to understand now, I wanted to believe. The white bull had been evil. It wasn’t white which was pure and good. So, perhaps it was black? If the black bull encompassed all good, and the Game Master held the night sky within his eyes and darkness at his fingertips, wouldn’t it be safe to assume that he was one of the good guys?

Amy
Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

CHECKMATE, DARLING

CHECKMATE, DARLING

He adjusted his white leather gloves, resting his hands flat on the polished green obsidian board. "Three games of blitz," Arthur said smoothly, his eyes cold behind his wire-rimmed glasses. "Three minutes per player. No increment. Touch-move rules. White to me for Game 1." I took off my heavy winter coat, handed it to Daniel, and stepped up to the stage. I pulled out the Black chair and sat down opposite the man who had lived in our house, eaten at our table, and quietly dismantled our lives for four years. "Game 1," the butler announced, stepping up to the table with a brass bell. "Begin."
