Willow and Gracie were curled on the loveseat together, crying softly. “This is a mighty fine cake, Milli.” Garrett sat quietly eating a piece of cake with Molly, who sniffled and pushed the moist brown bites around on her plate as much as she ate. “It’s called Black Velvet. It is Grandpa Ben’s favorite.” Milli watched out the back window as she did dishes. The cake on the counter a few feet away was like a knife in her soul. She had finally made Ben Wallace his favorite cake again, and he was the only one who wouldn’t get a slice.

After thanking Jasmine, Daisy couldn't resist saying, "She even made me a cake! It's blue and gorgeous! Daisy immediately asked Granger to assist her in opening the cake after she had finished speaking. Lotte took a big whiff of the area around her and almost started drooling. The cakes with their vanilla aroma… The pies and all of their sugary/fruity goodness… And those eclairs. It was almost enough to help her tune out the pathetic excuse of a ‘Karen’ standing on the other side of the counter. With a grin, she turned and winked at Julian, the bakery owner, attempting to help ease some of the tension brought on by a woman with nails long enough to double as chopsticks.

The woman gestured towards the table; covering it was a collection of different flavored cakes. "Cake~!!" Forgetting all about her sandwich, Maria's heart pounded with excitement, sweet-tooth aching, craving to try a sample. "Up first is my delicious strawberry lemon cake!" Charlotte picked up a small round decorative cake covered in pink frosting, adorned with slices of strawberries and lemons.

“I wasn’t expecting so many people. I assumed there would only be about fifteen.” Max scoffs, “Again, you assumed something and proved you cannot be trusted. You’re a stupid whore, you know that? You have no idea how embarrassed I am to be married to someone so pathetic. And what’s the deal with that cake? Why does it look like an amateur made it?” “Because you didn’t want me to get a baker, so I made it,” I explained. “It’s hideous,” Max says. “What flavor is it?” “It’s lemon with a raspberry filling. The icing has a little raspberry in it, that’s why it’s pink. I used white frosting to add embellishments.”

Leo gave his mother a kiss on the cheek and thanked her for that save. Ella and Harper had figured out Lucinda was the boss lady, so they clambered over to her with Xavier in tow, asking for cake. Lucinda couldn’t think of a reason why not, so she instructed the caterers to start slicing it up. It was a beautiful cake, tiered layers of white and fondant tree bark, piped with tons of colorful icing flowers cascading down the layers, on a bed of moss fondant at the base. Sugary butterflies in different colors were perched daintily on several of the flowers. It was almost too beautiful to eat, and Amber hated that first cut into such a beautiful work of art.

At this same time, a soft shuffle of footsteps broke my thoughts and I looked up eagerly. But it wasn't him. Madeline, the head maid, was coming with another plate of steaming bacon and our anniversary cake. “The cake has arrived, ma'am," she smiled at me. I nodded, looking at the four tier cake with a smile. It was chocolate and sweet cream, Killian's favorite. "Madeline, is master Killian back?" I asked hopefully. Her eyes lowered and she shook her head. "No, ma’am. There’s been no sign of him."

Jean sat on the ground completely dying. "Hey.” "I really want pancakes right now." Jean said and Charlie laughed. "Pancakes at night? You sure are ridiculous.” Charlie said. "Hey! One little piece won’t kill you right?" She smirked and I can’t believe her. "I met a fan the other day and I was eating a chocolate cake at that time, she was like.. what are you eating? Why? Why chocolate cake? And I was like.. I’m a human too. I have a special place for desserts in my stomach. Her face fell and she was speechless.” Charlie said.
