God, even thinking the word felt like dragging barbed wire through my chest. Then, a deep rumbling engine broke through everything. I looked up, and there he was. Damian’s man. He came striding into the cemetery like a warning. The kind of man who didn’t need to make threats because his existence did that for him. Black coat, gloves, sunglasses even though the sky was grey. Heavy boots crunching gravel like he owned it. The workers froze the moment they saw him. One man shut off his machine so fast the motor coughed. The man didn’t raise his voice. He didn’t have to.

He screamed out as he attempted to crawl away but his lower body just would budge. "Well, that's none of my business. Now.. be a good Alpha and and obey." He muttered and signalled to the boy holding the chainsaw. The boy nodded and turned it on; the loud sound of the engine filled the air, same with the thick smell of Wolfsbane. "You smell that old man?? That's wolfsbane so hold onto something because it's going to hurt badly!!" He screamed out to him so he could hear well due to the loud noise coming from the chainsaw.

As I moved one step closer, he opened his hand, and I suddenly stopped when I saw the piece of technology he was holding. I had never seen this exact device before, but since it was important for me to stay informed about the cities, I recognized the flame and lightning symbol on the side. Blackthorn Technologies was the main company that made weapons in the shifter world, and if I was right, Mr. Mason was holding a high-level taser that would force me into a partial shift, leaving me trapped between wolf and human form and completely under his control.

A roar of pain tore through the night. It was at that exact moment that the forest suddenly darkened. Not like a cloud passing over the moon, but as if the very air had been swallowed by darkness. A low sound, almost like distant thunder, ran across the ground. Out of nowhere, he appeared. A tall man with skin like dark marble, black hair falling carelessly over his face, and eyes like live embers in the gloom. He didn’t say a single word. He simply raised his left hand, and from it exploded a living shadow. The weapon was born in a low roar, wrapping around his arm up to the shoulder. A claw of pulsing darkness — alive, grotesque, and beautiful.

"Show your claws!" A tall, broad-shouldered figure emerges slowly through the smoke, his face as cold as arctic ice, his eyes glowing with a lethal, dominant blue light. The closest rogue thugs charge straight at him with raised knives and iron axes, but he moves like a primal force of nature right through their ranks. In mere seconds, his bare hands tear completely through over a hundred of the Blackfang pack's finest fighters, leaving them groaning on the stone floor with broken bones, shattered jaws, and bloody faces. The remaining rogue men tremble violently, their weapons shaking as they back away from his presence, completely overwhelmed by his murderous, terrifying aura.

Sparks showered over us, stinging my skin. "Stay back!" Bryan roared. He shifted, but it was different this time. The silver fur didn't just cover him; it glowed with a blue light that pushed back the shadows. He lunged at the man with the chainsaw, knocking the weapon out of his hands with a heavy silver claw. The saw hit the floor, cutting a deep groove into the metal before it died. "The tubes, Hazel!" Bryan shouted as he tackled a second masked man. "Break the glass! If they wake up, the story ends!"

They enjoyed messing around so much that they lost sight of their target. Narco's horde of clones got out of their vehicles and went back on their way while shouting, making noises to scare her. Mischa, who was waiting for them, turned on the chainsaw. When they heard the engine, the enemies ran fastly, headed in her direction. They are like swarms of sharks pouncing on their prey, but before they could manage to touch even a strand of her hair, Mischa ruthlessly swings her chainsaw, amputating their hands, torso, limbs, head, and cutting cleanly their bodies in half. Narco's clones keep coming after her even after getting cut by the saw machine. They are mindlessly approaching her, not even

I can’t even describe it. Everything happens within seconds. I can’t see anything, but clearly, he can. One moment there is nothing, and the next, the madman takes off and his body collides with an invisible wall. The modified chainsaw is on the ground near my feet, so at least, if worse comes to happen, at least I will have a weapon to use to defend myself. In the meantime, it looks like Leonx or Atlas or whatever is the real name is waving his bloody spoon around and trying to spook someone. This is madness. Why can’t he give up on that soon?
