The cubicle door splintered under Nero’s kick, revealing Eddy straddling the waiter, her skirt hiked up, panties discarded on the grimy floor. She froze, mid-motion, her eyes wide with shock. The waiter opened his mouth to yell, but Nero’s palm struck like lightning, knocking him out cold. Eddy’s curse was cut short as Nero seized her by the collar, yanking her off the unconscious man. “Where’s Natasha?” he growled, his voice a low, dangerous rumble.

I was perspiring lightly. “Boss… You okay?” “I’m,” my voice was too loud, too tight. After leading me into a room that was twice as big as the one I had back then in the Serene pack he began to scratch his head like he was looking for words to say. "Uhm, sorry about earlier. San Diego had me feeling differently. It was like I became Alex Gray the moment I drove into the city. My personality changed over the following two weeks as I followed Jordan Reed. Do you not care for me as much as the now-former Lady-Luna?” I asked cheekily, trying to get a response. Eddy snarled at me when I used his full name, but I could still see some brown in his eyes, so I knew he wasn't completely angry with me. That gave me some solice as Eddy as of recently became my sole friend inside the Colony. “We are about 30 minutes out from the hospital. Do you want to have this conversation, Luis?” Eddy asked.

Meanwhile, at Eddies home. They were already at the dinner table. They were just four people at the table- Eddie, his mom, Dad and another lady- but the table had more space for more ten. It was a very big diner. Eddies parents sat directly opposite each other from a each end of the table. Eddie himself sat directly opposite from the lady at the middle. "Kelly, how's your studies going?" Eddies mother asked. "Oh, I heard you got accepted into Harvard's. It's that true?" Eddies mom asked pleasantly. They had or rather she had arranged for Eddie to marry Kelly because they were both from rich families.
