My voice is extremely raspy. "I don't know, I just sort of found you here. I'm sure it's where you parked it last night though." I turn towards the small light voice and see Delilah staring into my eyes. She lifts her head up a smidge and I notice she is wearing her black tank that has the Creations logo on it. Pain slices through my head as I attempt to stand and fall back down on my ass.

CHAPTER 8 SASKIA POV “Hazel are you okay ?” kaiden said as he held my wrist. Just by looking at him made me furious, he had no rights to come here and make me feel stuff I’m not suppose to feel. “Don’t you dare call me hazel and don’t you dare touch me kaiden” I said as I yanked my hand away from him. “Fine Saskia, what’s wrong??”he asked looking straight into my eyes.

I loved my long brunette hair but I always kept it in an untidy ponytail and tucked under the hoodie. “Angelina Watson”, called Mr McCoy while marking the attendance report. I raised my hand to show that I was present. I always kept my head down because my hazel brown eyes didn’t always stay that way. They changed when my emotions got triggered in whatever way. This time around I was trying to get them from bright red back to brown. Isabel did succeed in making me angry in such a way that I was about to set fire to the whole class. I hated this part of me. “Lina, you didn’t answer my question”, whispered Mya.

“I call you Haze not because it’s short for Hazel but because you are my haze.” “What am I?” Gia was confused. “You’re the haze. Haze comes suddenly, mysterious, disruptive, and obscuring.” Gia was about to retort sharply, but Raven took her hand, bringing it to his lips for a soft kiss. “But haze completes the scenery,” Raven said, gesturing to the majestic hills still shrouded in thick mist. “And haze makes the world more beautiful. At least, it makes my world more beautiful. I prefer misty mornings over sunny ones. That’s why only I am allowed to call you Haze.”

I pulled away from him and looked at him to speak. "Alex, I need to tell you something," I confessed, and he nodded, giving me the go-ahead. "yesterday, when I hugged Ellis, I had a terrible vision of myself in white with dark eyes and black veins all over my skin. Then while I was trying to serve tea in the evening `i had the same vision," I told him, and he frowned. "Do you think the Clearsands have something to do with this?" Alex asked, looking confused, and I shook my head.

I smiled. "Clever," Ace smirked, taking my hand to pull me up. "Now, where are we heading?" "We are already here," I took his other hand to keep him with me as a dark haze rose. Cackles and screams from the haze swept through the desert. The sand was completely covered by haze, rising to the sky. Ace closed his eyes as the mighty wind blew through the desert, sweeping off all the sands and statues, blocking out every single light until we were completely enfolded in darkness. "Return!" The fog abruptly retracted back into my body with a whoosh. "Here we are."

My lashes flutter, vision unfocused, but I tilt my head up just slightly. Blue eyes. Frantic. Angry.. Grayson. My lips part to say something, anything—but the world tips sideways. Then fades to black.

"Damn it." Something that had been simmering in his chest was now boiling over. He was the Captain of the Frost Titans, the idol of millions, yet in this hallway, he couldn't take a single step forward. *** ** * [Hazel's POV] The sharp, sterile scent of disinfectant was the first thing that registered in my brain. The scent hit my nostrils so sharply, my head throbbed. I groaned, my voice sounding hoarse and pathetic to my own ears

He shook his head when she give him her best puppy eyes and inspite of himself, a smile came across his lips. " Thank you!" She exclaimed happily circitling her arms around his neck giving him a hug while he huffed out a breath. ____________________________ Hazel groaned lowly as she tried to sit up. Her hand went up only to feel the dried blood on the side of her temple. Her honey orbs looked around only to find the black blanket covering the sky. There was no stars or moon was there only the endless, infinite darkness… like it resembled her life.

Back to Blackwater. Back to reality. The drive back to Blackwater feels like it drags on forever, the road stretching endlessly ahead of me as the thoughts I can’t shake keep swirling in my head. I grip the steering wheel tighter, trying to focus on anything but the nagging feeling in my chest. Hazel’s face flashes in my mind again, her eyes, her voice, the way she asked me to reject her.
