Black Moon Novel By Nisha Umar Season 1 Novels & Stories

Well, at least I finally got something I can do as a mage, right? Water splintered like glistening crystals as I turned and followed the rhythm with precision. I closed my eyes as I continued on my track, there was another smooth splash. Once again, I turned and leaped a little, then faced the audience and opened my eyes. I thought I'd see my expectants watching me in awe. But to my surprise, my line of vision was directed to a pair of unfamiliar pitch black eyes, the darkest shade of black I've ever seen in my whole life.

Selene woke up around noon, drenched in sweat. Once again this month she had the same nightmare - ran through the dark, sinisterly rustling forest, over dry leaves and stones that hurt her bare feet painfully. Behind, Selene heard someone's footsteps, her breathing quickened more and more, and legs slowly failed to obey - she stumbled over protruding boughs more and more often, her sweater got caught on branches, leaving threads of yarn on them, which caused holes in the material. Eventually Selene exhausted herself completely, caught her foot on something large and fell face down into the pile of leaves which caused her to groan softly from pain. Whoever was chasing Selene now grabbed her a

Annalyse Cass and I sat in the garden listening to the sounds of the forest and were talking about Jace’s ceremony tomorrow, when I caught what looked like dark mist out of the corner of my eye. I looked over at Cass. “Hey. Did you see that?”, I asked. “What?” “It looked like black mist.”, I said, my senses on high alert now, Bella pacing in my head. “No. I didn’t see anything. Are you sure that you aren’t just thinking about what happened? That dude is a serious asshole.”, she said.

I bit my nails nervously, my wolf pacing restlessly; she could feel trouble looming, and my skin burned from underneath. My wolf snarled. I held my face, deer consuming me; I needed to act and act really fast before facing the council. ********* Morning arrived faster than it should have. I didn't sleep the whole night thinking about different routes to shift the blame away from my face, but then the truth was staring at me right in the eyes; it already felt like a lost battle. I knew trouble was looming really fast the moment those words fell out of the maid's mouth; I could feel it in my bones, and for the first time in a long while I ran out of excuses and tricks.

“You blew up his world. Now he wants to look you in the eye and figure out how.” “Or he wants to kill me,” I said. “That too,” she replied, shrugging. “Honestly, probably a bit of both.” Malek looked back at her. “You’re awfully calm about all this.” She smiled a little. “I’ve tracked a Bloodmoon bloodline for eleven years. My scale for ‘calm’ moved a long time ago.”

This… This is how they live: clean water, gentle hands, and care, not survival, not scraps, not pain. My fingers curl beneath the surface. Fifteen years of scrubbing floors, washing stains, and carrying burdens that were never mine. Fifteen years of punishment for mistakes I didn’t make. Locked in darkness. Starved. Forgotten. Except when they needed me. Needed me to erase evidence. To play pretend. To clean secrets. To make sins disappear without a trace. My chest tightens. For fifteen years, I have been the invisible ghost of this house. I was six when the spirit creatures slaughtered my pack and parents during the Silver Moon.

Lena had always hated full moons. Not in a dramatic, horror-movie way. Nothing that obvious. It was quieter than that. A restless hum under her skin. Nights where sleep never came easy and every sound outside her window felt personal, like the dark was aware of her. Tonight, the moon wasn’t silver. It was red. She stood barefoot on the back porch of her rental house at the edge of town, arms folded tight against the chill. The woods behind her stretched deep and black, the treetops glowing faintly under the strange crimson light.

Awakening. The wolf stretched within her, not in fury, but in readiness. The hunt was coming. Silas was gathering. Thorne was watching. But the heart of Moonstone, forged in fire and fury, was finding its beat. One slow, deliberate breath, one parsed emotion, one controlled step at a time. The path ahead was dark and fraught, but for the first time since waking in this room, drowning in woolen silence, Novah didn't feel entirely lost. She felt the pack around her. She felt the wolf within. And she felt the faint, fierce pulse of her own strength, beginning to resonate with theirs. The silence now wasn't heavy; it was the quiet before the storm, and she was learning to stand within it.

Her aura was different tonight; she wasn’t shivering in her usual state, but this was more of a disappointment and even anger. I clenched my hands as I had a cold glint in my eyes. Instantly, I held her arms firmly and told her in a sharp tone. “I, Damon Blackthorn, Alpha of Moonfall pack. Hereby reject you as my mate.” I could hear the sound of thunder and lightning roaring through the skies, which gave the entire moment an ominous feeling if I had just made a colossal mistake.

The ancient ceremonial dagger gleamed crimson in the pale moonlight as the high priestess raised it high. Kiera's breath caught in her throat, her heart pounding like the drums echoing through the stone hollows. This was really happening. Against her will, she was being subjugated to the cruelest tradition of the Blackwood Pack - the Blood Moon mating ritual that would bind her for life to Damien, the most ruthless and detested Alpha wolf in the entire ancient lineage. She risked a defiant glance at the hulking figure awaiting her at the altar. Damien's piercing amber eyes locked on her, a menacing snarl twisting his lupine features as if he could sense her reticence.
