Fear mixed with adrenaline, fueling a surge of resolve she hadn’t felt in days. Outside, the night was thick and silent, the streetlights casting long shadows as they hurried to the car. Matteo’s phone buzzed again, pulling his attention. He read the message, face darkening with every word: “Your trust is misplaced. Watch your back.” Isabella’s breath caught. “Who could it be?” Matteo shook his head slowly. “Someone we never expected. Someone close.” The words hung between them like a guillotine’s blade, heavy and ominous.

Neither dared speak. The ground itself seemed to breathe with anticipation. The Blood Moon began to rise—larger than ever, swollen and pulsing with power. Its red light painted the world in warning.

I felt a spark of hope. "Now!" Aiden shouted. But Becca let out a scream that wasn't human. It was a high-pitched vibration that made my ears bleed. The air in the room suddenly intensified. The smoke gathered into a physical weight, slamming into Aiden and Serena like a tidal wave. They were ripped off her and slammed into the ceiling before falling back to the floor with a bone-shattering impact. Becca stood up slowly. Her hair was wild, and her skin looked pale, almost translucent. The black magic was swirling around her now, thick and oppressive. She looked down at Aiden and Serena, who were both struggling to even lift their heads.

"Leo... what on earth was that?" Leo’s silver fur stood completely on end. His usually playful, mischievous eyes had become deadly serious, reflecting the ominous crimson sky. *Fenrir.* Aiden swallowed hard, his throat dry. "The Beast of the Eclipse." "Can Dad beat him?" Damien takes a step ahead and black vines come out of nowhere and take a hold of his feet as soon as the light touches him.
