And by the way, Robert dealt with him with just a punch, Michael knew who this was. "B...Black .... Panther...." Dan and his men rushed over and grabbed Michael, lifting him up. Michael was dumbfounded, unable to move even a muscle, as if struck by lightning. Did he just offend Black Panther...?? He was indeed his death then...! ***************

One of the younger cubs saw that Black Panther showed no reaction at all and lifted a foot as if to kick him again. Clar moved instantly and grabbed the cub’s wrist. “Stop!” Her voice cut through the air. “Black Panther is dead. Is that still not enough for you? Even in death, you won’t leave him alone?” A sneer rose from the crowd. “He’s dead, and you were the only one here. If it wasn’t you, then who?”

“Caelum, Jack. Kiran said there was an intruder on the trial grounds, but I don’t see any intruder or Kiran. Why is it just you two?” To avoid suspicion, Andrius said with great sadness, “Sect Leader, the intruder is a black panther. The panther is extremely fast and powerful. Kiran thought that his armor could protect him and stayed behind to cover our retreat, but he was slain by the panther.” Andrius deliberately spoke slowly and in a low voice to pretend that he was seriously injured. Then, Caelum also ‘coughed’ twice and spat out a wad of blood, looking severely injured.

He looks like he’s trying to breathe through his mouth and not his nose, leaving me to assume he finds the scent off-putting, too. Tasha nods. “It’s not exactly the same, but it’s similar enough that whatever they’re from are definitely the same species if not the same…things.” She says “things” in a tone that projects both disgust and bewilderment. “Alpha!” I hear Channing call as he approaches with Blake and Serafina. It takes just a moment before I realize he’s carrying a human over his shoulder in a fireman’s carry. “Who do you have there, Channing?” I ask, feeling my mouth go dry and the sensation of my stomach dropping, fearing the answer.

"I made a special trip to see you last night, but you avoided me. You've hurt my feelings!" "Flower Scorpion, what do you want? This isn't your playground. Get out!" Black Panther, after a quick look at his fallen comrades, bellowed with rage. He lunged forward, but before he could get close, the man in yellow flicked him away with a swift palm strike. Black Panther slammed into the chairs behind him, coughing up blood. "Martial general at ultimate mastery!?" Sophronia and the old man gasped together, their eyes wide with astonishment.

he asks in a low growl. "Michela Cruz." He makes no response and glares quietly, leaning on his elbows. His knitted eyebrows and broad, bulky shoulders only accentuate his already predatory air. I had known these very eyes when they were a lanky 15-year-old's, though, they now belong to a dangerously gorgeous panther of a man. So unless they are jetting out flaming bullets, I will still comfortably return the stare. It is a full minute, I'm sure, before he finally leans back in his seat and speaks.

Never one to hide, Katalea shifted, while Dakari remained. “I have heard myths about the black panther in my world,” a now very cute asian girl said, throwing her long dark hair over her shoulder. Katalea smiled, “Here I am just Katalea.” Another man spoke, he had been a brown wolf moments before but now stood before them with military short brown hair. ”We are grateful for the assist, but..” here he paused and looked around, “what are you doing here?” Katalea couldn’t help but grin. She tried to sound incredulous, “What, you don’t have many panthers in these parts?”

“With this gift, I relinquish my power as Alpha over to you, young Katalea. May you wear it as a symbol of our Prides’ strength, loyalty, and love. It is your to give to the next black panther or to put back into the sacred vault if there is not one after your reign. His words wee heavy on my shoulders but I picked up the box. Insides was a delicate panther pendant made of onyx, surrounded by tiny rubis, the eyes were a dazzling sapphire as blue as mine. It was supported by a tiny silver chain that didn’t look strong enough to survive what I would put it through. Grandfather saw me eyeing the chain and read my thoughts. “It is made of a metal stronger than platinum, that is found only o

Blood spilled like ink down his armor, he collapsed to his knees, and fell. A collective cry of horror rose around me. Even though I’d known deep down how this would end, it still struck like ice to my bones. Rhydan ran to him and cradled him as the last light faded from Thorne’s eyes, but that wasn’t the end. A glow began to spread through the fallen Alpha’s chest, soft and blue. It was the Heartstone. It pulsed once, then rose from his body, detaching from the lifeless form. The crowd fell into breathless silence.
