A cigar hung from his mouth. It was Phineas "Fang" Pugh, the leader of the Red Fang. None of the bystanders had seen Phineas before, yet the air around him immediately hinted at the man being the center of the gang. "Uncle!" Jessica called out as Phineas approached her, shocking the crowd. No wonder the girl was nigh-untouchable in the entire university! She was the niece of the boss of the Red Fang—no wonder the dean was wary of offending her.

I am speechless and can’t even breathe, meanwhile Mitchum is cackling about fictional movie characters. Once I am able to breathe again I utter “Shammus.” Mitchum stops cackling and he looks at me and says, “You believe this crap? You think you are some sort of werewolf or something?” As I begin to nod my head, Phineas says, “Yes he is a werewolf, the same as you and your other friend here. Just as Clive, myself, and these other men are.” “I call bullshit,'' Mitchum says.

I clear my throat before talking loudly for everyone inside to hear me, “Hello everyone, I’m sure that you have plenty of questions. But if you don’t mind, please go outside and I will do my best to provide answers for you.” No one argued, slowly leaving the building and joining the bigger group outside. Charlie and I walk to the door and in a soft voice he encourages me, “You’ve got this.” I smile back at him before turning to address the crowd. I speak loud enough for everyone to hear me, “You all know who I am. I am Phoenix Black, son of Xavier Black. There are some things you might not know that will be crucial to know moving forward. Xavier Black is dead.”
