Without a second thought, I quickly reached out to hold her hand, and helped her out.
That was when I recognized her to be the woman who had kept a pistol in her thighs earlier.
When James saw the woman, he exclaimed, “It's you?”
“Do you know her?” I asked quietly, and he nodded.
“Yes. She is a sister to the leader of the black vipers.” He replied without looking at me.
“Black vipers? Are they the Italians?”
This time, it was not James who replied, but the woman.
