“Damian is as powerful as I am,” I countered. “And I’ll show you how easily he could breach your so-called impenetrable walls.”
In an instant, I moved. Faster than lightning, I dashed toward him, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the ground. The guards tensed, their weapons ready, but I barked, “Don’t come any closer, or he dies.”
The man, who moments ago had been boasting about his kingdom’s strength, was now choking, his golden armor clinking as he struggled. His guards looked to each other, uncertain, but they didn’t dare move.
