Apart from the fact that the table was made of the finest mahogany and polished to a high shine, it was also laid with intricate carvings. Delicate china plates were beautifully arranged on the sparkling crystal glass tray. And at the center was a magnificent bouquet of fresh flowers, carefully arranged in a crystal vase.

The dining room was set with a yellow rose and white carnation centerpiece that set in a volcanic ash boat style vase, the place settings consisted of black and gold placemats, with cut crystal drinking glasses, and Misaka plateware. The table was a live-edge wood lodge style table that could seat up to 22 if needed, the chairs were made of black leather and burnt ash. On one side of the room was a currio cabinet full of freshly washed and pressed linens, extra glassware, champagne glasses, and flatware. The other side of the room, that didn’t lead to the kitchen, had floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the well maintained vegtable garden and fruit trees.

My palms were drenched in sweat by the time we'd entered. We passed several tables occupied by men in tailored suits or casual brand name wears and women dripping in diamonds, all of them turning to watch us with curious eyes. But again, Noir seemed oblivious or rather, used to their attention. His focus was entirely on navigating us through the space. We reached the far end of the exclusive club, where a large black leather booth dominated the corner. The table in front of it was a work of art—black marble shot through with veins of gold and red that caught the ambient lighting. It looked like it cost more than most people's cars.

The long table that stood at the center of the room was made of dark, polished wood and had been set with fine china and crystal glasses. The tablecloth was made of the finest linen, and a large arrangement of fresh flowers stood at the center. At the head of the table, sat a large, ornate chair, reserved for the Alpha and Luna of the Pack. The other chairs, placed around the table, were also made of dark wood and had plush velvet cushions.

Betas and ranking wolves seated closer to the center. At the far end of the hall, elevated by three broad steps, stood a raised platform. And on that platform was single long table. With two carved chairs at its center. The Alpha and Luna’s place. My breath caught, just slightly. It wasn’t ostentatious. Blackridge didn’t indulge in gold or excessive ornamentation. The wood was dark oak, polished but unembellished. The chairs high-backed, carved with the Blackridge crest. Commanding. Unapologetic.

A large fifty-five-inch HD tv hung from the wall above large cream-colored leather booth seats and extended sofas just behind them mounted to the floors on both sides of me. They were decorated with silk bronze and gold throw pillows like what you’d see in an upscale house. The tabletops were a matching-colored white granite top the overhead paneling was wooden with white borders with bright over head lights. Just behind me to my right was a small kitchen area with a sleek modern stainless-steel stove and overhead microwave mounted to the wall and a matching white granite countertop where a stainless-steel sink rested in the center.

In the living room, two black Belgian sofas faced each other, white throw pillows randomly littered on them while two white cushion chairs faced each other, black throw pillows on them. The chairs were arranged in a small semi circle with a sliver tempered glass table, fresh black roses adorning it. There was also a small mahogany indoor swing and a rocking chair. A huge black flat screen TV was hooked on the wall, giving the home, a well furnished, vibrant feel. The tiles, my favorite part, were black and white similar to a chess board.

"Sasha." Bolton greeted me with a nod as I entered a large meeting room. The table in the center was carved from a massive rock and wooden chairs painted black sat around it. Adrian POV The private banquet suite on the top floor was silent save for the hum of the air conditioning. A mahogany dining table sat in the center of the room, set for twelve with silver cutlery and crystal glasses. High glass windows behind the head chair showed the rainy skyline of Boston stretching into the dark. Rain streaked down the glass in long, slow lines, turning the city lights below into blurred streaks of gold and red. Commissioner Victor Blackwood sat at the head of the table. He wore a dark grey tailored suit, cutting a steak on his plate with slow, deliberate strokes. The silver knife scraped quietly against the plate with every cut.
