(Olivia's POV) "It wasn't Victoria," Officer Daniel Brooks's voice came through James's Wolf-Linked Cellphone, his tone formal and detached. "It was a rogue wolf named Connor Blackthorn." A very large black wolf stood just outside my car door, unmoving. I was about to call out to Draven when I stopped myself, he was surrounded on all sides and more people were still joining the fight. He would get distracted if I called him. I looked back at the wolf again. He stared unblinkingly at me as if he was waiting for me to make a decision. I looked to the driver only to see that he was staring frozen at me, the only part of his body moving were his eyes which seemed to be looking towards the passenger’s seat.

I take glance to my rearview mirror to see a midnight black wolf, he's fighting with the rogues running after me awhile ago. I step on the break, making a screeching sound of my tires. I stopped in a halt and get out of my car. The rogues are now out of sight probably all dead. The midnight black wolf come running towards me, I prepare myself in his attack but instead he stop in front of me. I stare at him, studying him. His mouth dripping with blood, not his blood but from the rogue. Then I turn to see his eyes, does mesmerizing Aqua blue eyes.

It was Ryder Blackwood, the enigmatic alpha werewolf of Ravenwood, his expression unreadable as he studied her with intense scrutiny. Ryder Blackwood exuded an aura of raw power and controlled intensity. Standing tall at 6'4", his broad shoulders and muscular build hinted at the formidable strength that lay beneath his calm exterior. His chiseled features were framed by short, dark hair, often tousled as if he had just returned from a midnight run through the woods. Also, the driver stared blankly at the front, and I followed his gaze instantly. Staring at what he was glancing at, I spotted a black wolf, with blood spilled over his body. It seemed like it was injured or wounded, and another wolf pounced on him, striking him with blows as the car started moving. The car drove past them, but I continued to gaze at the two wolves curiously. “What was that about?” I questioned the driver, and a quiet response echoed from him, “It was a minor issue.” This time, the driver’s voice was quick and rash.

Another guy stood up, "I'm Ralph Bensen, a member of the beta hounds pack too. I like trekking. If you like to go trekking sometime, I'm pleased to help you."
