Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

Detective Casie Blackwood and the Moonlit Secrets

"The team is ready. We should leave now if we want to reach the compound before nightfall." Casie nodded, schooling her features into professional focus despite the distracting warmth pulsing through her veins. "Let's go. Dr. Vasquez, please forward any additional findings directly to my phone." The drive began in tense silence, Nathaniel at the wheel with Rick beside him while Casie and Valeria occupied the back seats. The arrangement was deliberate, Casie had insisted on it, needing physical distance from both mates to maintain clarity as her body's chemistry continued its relentless shift. "The Blackwood compound is one of the oldest supernatural strongholds in North America," Valeria obs

I notice from the corner of my eye JJ is standing to the side, smothering his smile with his hand, fucking arseholes. “What the fuck is wrong with you!” I yell at Luke and then turn to JJ, “Are you fucking kidding me? Is that what you two like to do? Jump women in the middle of the fucking night.” JJ stands straighter and observes me carefully, “I apologise, Miss Blackwood.” He bows his head. I turn to Luke, who’s starting to help himself off the ground. He brushes himself off. “Why the fuck did you grab me like that?” I start yelling again. I can feel the tears well in my eyes. I won’t fucking cry in front of these arseholes. Luke looks up at me. Oh shit, his face is swelling fast.

Blackwater Val

Blackwater Val

“That’s right. Now, do you know why it was renamed Blackwater Valley?” “Uh, I don’t think so.” Richard felt as though he’d learned all of this at one time. “I assumed it was because the town’s on the river, or from it being part of the Rock River Valley. Something along those lines.” He suddenly felt foolish. Deadmond took the eyeglasses from his head and began cleaning them with his shirttail. “Well, the original village of Shaw Valley was platted in 1829, and thrived almost immediately. But in 1832, the year of the so-called Black Hawk War, malaria struck the township’s settlers. Devastated them. A bad strain, too: raging fever, blood in their urine, massive destruction of the red blood ce

THE NIGHTMARE OF GREENWOOD CITY

THE NIGHTMARE OF GREENWOOD CITY

'Please help me look for my boy, I beg you' she pleaded. 'Alright, we will. Thanks for your time ma' sophia assured the woman as they left. The sun was slowly sinking toward the horizon, casting long shadows across the land. The sky was painted with hues of orange, pink, and purple, as the light of day gradually gave way to the darkness of night. The air had cooled, and a gentle breeze carried the scent of the coming evening. It was clear that the day was already getting darker. 'Hmmm, this is getting mysterious. First, Mr. Robert was attacked by some kinda creature. Secondly, an eye witness goes missing' Luke said as they walked down to where her car was parked. 'Were you able to get anythi

The Azure Moon Series - Complete Collection

The Azure Moon Series - Complete Collection

“I don’t know, just run.” I block her out again, as her crying is annoying. I’m convinced I was running for a full day and night. Taking away the block from her, I glanced at a map outside of a diner. “There. I know somewhere there we can stay.” She says. I ran to the place she says on the map, a place called Blackwood. We find where she wants to go, a place called Blackwood Farm. It is empty and has been for a while. We found the fields overgrown and unkempt. It is clear no one lives here. I shift and let her take over. She needs rest now and the opportunity to grieve. “I will look after you, my human. We are one.”

Love it!!! It sounds like a sequel is expected and I can’t wait!! However there are some editing to do since the use of I, he, she in conversations from first person to third person swapping gets confusing. Overall, highly recommend reading this!

I am sorry writing about the war during the eclipse and how the Royals won but I wouldnt have known about those if I havent read it already. Putting that aside, which I know will be fixed soon, I have to recommend the author, why I am rereading them. BOOK 2 THE MISSING LUNA. BOOK 3 ALPHA NIX?

A Love Forged In Ruins

A Love Forged In Ruins

“The deeper they dig, the harder it is to crawl back out.” Her pacing slowed. “And when they realize this was never about community centers…?” Jaden’s eyes flicked up to hers. “By then, it’ll be too late.” --- Somewhere across the city, in a dimly lit office, the boss leaned back in his chair, cigar smoke curling toward the ceiling. “Blackwood’s in Chicago,” he said to the man across from him. “That means his woman’s in charge, and she’s throwing money around like she doesn’t know where it’s going. This is our chance.”

Yessss, love the drama in this book, I'm still reading and can't get enough of it! The family dynamic is dramatic and aggravating and that’s what makes this sooooo good. I don't think there's anyone more shameless than Layla’s mom. That woman annoys me!!!
Scarlett Rain
At first, I thought it was a typical revenge story, but the more I read, the more I grasped the complexity of the characters that were well described. It makes me more curious about Layla, a woman who is trying to figure out the scheme she finds herself in, and Damien, a man clouded in mysteries.

Taken By My Boss

Taken By My Boss

Harrison’s jaw clenched as he parked the car, his hand gripping the steering wheel tightly. “Are you ready for this?” Rachel asked, her eyes scanning the building. He nodded, his gaze hard. “I have to be. Let’s go.” The warehouse was silent as they approached, the faint echo of their footsteps the only sound in the empty space. The walls were covered in graffiti, and the air was thick with dust and a faint metallic smell. As they moved deeper inside, Harrison’s heart pounded, each step bringing him closer to answers—and possibly danger. At last, they reached a dimly lit room at the back of the warehouse. Blackwood was there, leaning casually against a table. He looked up as they entered, a s

Teach me, Mr Blackwood

Teach me, Mr Blackwood

I looked down the hallway and through the other side, and there was actually no one in sight. My heart hammered as I approached the large double office doors with D. BLACKWOOD engraved on the metal plate. I forced my trembling hand to knock. No answer. Great. I knocked again. Still nothing. Screw it. I pushed the door open— —and froze in place. Damian Blackwood sat behind his massive black desk. Sharp suit. Cuffed sleeves. Jaw tight enough to crack a diamond. He didn’t look up at me. Not even a glance. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by his deep voice.

The Alpha's Regret: Rising From The Ash

The Alpha's Regret: Rising From The Ash

I swung my legs out of bed. "My father died in that fire," I said. My voice trembled slightly. "I saw the body. I smelled the burning flesh. But if there is even a one percent chance that Thorne was right... I need to know." Kael sat up. He looked at the scars on his chest from the battle. He looked at me with fierce determination. "Then we dig," Kael said. The Blackwood Cemetery was located in a quiet valley behind the Pack House. It was a sacred place. Ancient oak trees stood sentinel over rows of gray headstones.

The Billionaire's Debt-Bride

The Billionaire's Debt-Bride

Or is this just another cage? He didn't answer. He just looked back out the window as we turned onto a private road that wound upward into the mist shrouded hills. Blackwood was nothing like the glass and steel penthouse. It was a sprawling, Gothic revival estate made of dark stone and ivy that looked like it had been clawed into the side of the mountain. It looked ancient, imposing, and deeply lonely. As the gates creaked shut behind us, I felt a strange shiver crawl down my spine. This wasn't a home, it was a monument to a legacy that had claimed too many lives already.
