He stared at me as he tipped the can upside down and shook it out again. “No!” I squeaked as I covered my ears. “That’s so gross!” The meat fell onto his bread again as he shrugged his shoulders. He pulled a plastic knife from his backpack and sliced a piece off. He held it out to me as I squirmed backwards.

“Thanks. So what do we have here?” Bryan asked his partner, who pointed at one of the eight frames on the laptop screen, which was relaying the live feeds of hidden cameras that were set up in strategic places around the harbor. Looking at the screen, he saw three Latinos unloading some crates from a speed boat at the pier. From where the boat was, there was an open space about half the size of a football field, which was surrounded by shipping containers that were stacked on one another. Looking closer, he saw that each of the men had viper tattoos on different parts of their body.

“And then I went back to my seat.” Blaire’s eyes narrowed, like she didn’t enjoy answers that didn’t come with dramatic confessionals. “Weird,” she said. “Because you’re kind of… the right height.” I blinked. “That’s your evidence? Height?” “Height matters,” Blaire said with complete seriousness, like she was a detective in a crime show. Sienna typed with frantic enthusiasm and showed her screen to Blaire: SHE ALSO HAS THE SAME BAG. I whipped my head toward Sienna. “Traitor.”
