Then I saw they were margins. A rectangle of faint gray unfurled out of the void, expanding until it filled my field of view. Edges crisped. The middle stayed perfectly empty. A page. Not paper. Not screen. Concept. Possibility. Blank. “And them?” I asked again, quieter. “Corvin. Jax. Selene.” The presence’s eyes—all of them—met mine. “That,” they said, “depends on what kind of story you write next.” The words settled over me like a weight and a gift at once.

BLADE Chapter One Emiliana's POV At the moment, the only thing on my mind was how to get out of this tight, exposing, goddamn wedding dress. The driver pulled over at a huge mansion. The bodyguards alighted and opened the car door for us. I stepped down and turned back, expecting my husband to step out of the car but he stepped out from the other side and slammed the door shut. I was startled by his action. Then he began to walk inside without waiting for me.

"Are you really a blind masseuse? Then use your hand to feel this. What is it?" Upon hearing the recruiter's request, I could only extend a quivering hand. All I could feel was… … My name was Faye Winters. Three years ago, when I was still studying at university, my older sister, Savannah Winters, called me on the phone. She had grown up blind. Apparently, she had gotten hired as a masseuse for Oceanica Cruise. A day's paycheck working on the cruise was worth ten thousand dollars. If she were to work there for a year or two, she'd be able to earn enough money for us to buy a house of our own in Seatrice City.

CHAPTER 2 REEVA “I do,” I said honestly. “But sometimes it feels like I’m living in his shadow.” Nathan nodded, his voice lower. “You don’t seem like the kind of woman who likes shadows.” My stomach did a stupid flip. I shrugged. “Your turn.” “Alright,” he said, leaning forward. “Ever cheated before?” My eyes widened. “Wow.” “Too soon?” “Way too soon.” He grinned, cocky. “Okay. How about… what’s the wildest thing you’ve done?”

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to read “Our Blank Canvas.” <3 This second book was meant to be explored through Vasilisa’s point of view, as she navigated through the difficulties of exploring her past as well as trying to move on in an entirely new Country. Additionally, I wanted to include the points of view of my supporting cast for various reasons. Each character has their own unique battle, and I felt it was necessary to allow them the chance to tell their story too. I began writing this novel after I completed “Our Young Funny Voices” June of 2019. I’ve completed it March of 2020. I’ve had an absolute blast writing it— but I’ve also cried and laughed along the way.
