’ Smiling, the priestess continued as she recited the blessing. “Blessed be your breath; may you breathe deep as you take in power. Blessed be your eyes as they look to the future and the skies. Blessed be your ears as you listen to the world around you and the moon goddess to guide you. Blessed be your tongue as you speak only truth and taste only the sweetness of life. Blessed be your hands as you grasp what the world and moon goddess provide. Blessed be your feet as they carry you through this world and the next.” Stepping back, Imogen handed the infant to Emmeline who held her close.

She is wearing a white dress as yellow orbs illuminating it. “Here we bless the new Priestess of the Moon, Luan” a woman said and move closer to her. A crown made of silver was placed on her head. “Thee I bless Luan the grace and voice to cradle anyone in pain” another woman comes up and touch the crown, this time it turns clear like water. Five more women bless her, with every blessing her crown turns to different shade and now its black. Then a man came up, he looks exactly like the man who just kissed her.

Your bond will now be as strong as it is for true mates!" My eyes widen, 'really? Is that even possible?' I think to myself, but as the blue light of the full moon washes over me, I can feel a higher power within it blessing us. Closing my eyes, I breathe it in, welcoming and thanking the goddess for her blessing. When I open my eyes again, I see Leroy gazing back at me, waiting for me with a beautiful smile. Bringing my foot closer to his lips without breaking eye contact with me, we say in unison,

Eira explained as Renée headed to the ensuite bathroom. “Thats understandable, pick out something good enough to show up in”. Why do I have a fucking tattoo on my back?” As much as Roxie was astounded, the tattoo was a celestial masterpiece; its curve evoked the lunar cycle, with crescent moons and full moons harmoniously aligned. It started from the nape of her neck to the center of her spine, creating a fluid motion. I stopped mid-rant, staring. “What the…” A soft white glow shimmered against my skin: a full moon, encased in a shield. I held my hand up toward the kitchen light, disbelieving. “What the hell is this?” Dominic hesitated a moment. “That’s… that’s my mark.” I turned toward him sharply. “What?” He crossed the room slowly, almost reverently and took my hand. A fond smile on his face as he traced the edges of the shield. “It’s the mark of the Goddess’ Benevolence. That’s what appeared on my back after I came of age. All Brightclaws are blessed with that mark once they’ve shifted for the first time… the alphas at least."

I have seen it before and probably I am going to see it in the future too, but I don't think the way I am getting nervous right now will ever happen again. An Elder—one of the oldest among them—stepped forward, his silver hair flowing like silk. In his hands he carried a polished silver bowl filled with water drawn from the Lake of Elarion itself. Reverently, he dipped his fingers into it and sprinkled a few drops at our feet. “A blessing,” he said in a voice like rustling leaves, “for unity, for strength, for an unbreakable bond. A blessing for a happy, prosperous and lovely life ahead.””

The pack quieted naturally—no forced hush, just respect. Mara held up a simple bowl filled with herbs and salt. Not ceremonial. Not grand. Just old tradition. “Every full moon,” Mara said calmly, “we bless what endures.” Haley’s chest tightened slightly at the word. Endures. Mara’s gaze swept the crowd. “Tonight,” she continued, “we bless the pack.” She dipped her fingers into the bowl and sprinkled a pinch into the fire. A soft hiss. A scent rose—sage, cedar, something clean.
