How could I burden someone else with my problems? My gaze shifted to the small bookshelf in the corner. Among the titles, one caught my eye: "Finding Clarity in Chaos." It was gifted to me by Alex. Alex has picked it up during a fleeting moment of inspiration for me , hoping it might provide some guidance someday. Perhaps that day had arrived.

I thought of my kingdom, the people who depended on him. The tears in the eyes of my people when I was about to leave. The blood that had been spilled, the promises I made. My people were waiting for me. She was waiting for me. I couldn’t let this end. Only a few copies were printed. You’re lucky to have one,” Alex said. Before she knew it, she hugged him. She didn’t even think—her heart just told her to. His scent filled her nose. “Thank you,” she whispered. She didn’t know why, but Alex’s scent made her feel calm. She stroked his broad back with her hand, and then quickly realized what she was doing. Lord, what was wrong with her? She was married!

He mused as he looked at me with a glint of excitement. “Why is that?” I asked, frowning a little. He shrugged, “Being a librarian is far more interesting than working as a servant.” “So what is this book and why is it in this glass case?” Victor scratched his chin as he had a faraway look in his eyes. “Let me recall. This book is said to be evil and I think when King Brigdain’s army fought with the witch who cursed them, she accidentally left the book behind. But it had something sinister about it. The book could not be destroyed in any way no matter how hard one tried. Not knowing what to do with it, King Brigdain put it in this toughened glass that is hard to break and put it in a corner,

I say with a smile on my face. She pulls herself away, “It is nice seeing you help yourself and become a better person.” I nod. “You helped me a lot. “ “You helped me too.” I chuckle, “You made me become closer to God. You made me put my trust in Him and that I should strengthen my faith to help myself move forward.” “Oh Lindy, for the past year I saw you struggle and grow at the same time. It is truly admiring.” “Thank you.” “Well.” She chimes while pulling something out from her bag. “Since it is your departure day and I will awfully miss you, here is a gift.” She pulls out a new Bible. “I asked Father John to bless it for you.”
