Novel & Cerita Blessings In A Backpack

Before she exited, I said, "Bonnie, I can't thank you enough. For everything." "Just one bada** woman helping out another. It's what we do." And with that, she was gone. I went over to the shopping bags she'd left, and my eyes watered as I looked through everything she'd bought me. A bunch of toiletries, bedding, a bath towel, a set of plastic dishes, silverware, paper goods, laundry detergent, dish soap, some frozen dinners, everything I'd need for sandwiches, milk, and breakfast cereal. And a bottle of Jack. It was the first time in a long while that I was starting to feel like I was home.

And of course my leather jacket and light blue converse. I also grab a plain white bikini, a towel, some sunscreen and a pair of black sunglasses with a golden frame in my backpack for the trip to the beach after school. I decide to take a pack of dried seaweed with me as well in case I get hungry later on. I believe that's all I need so I put my light purple and white backpack over my right shoulder before I walk out of my apartment and lock it after me.

“It’s fine. Where are the silver bullets?” “Under the compartment. I have one mag in my case.” “Let’s go then.” I carried her case, but she had a handgun on her waist. She looked badass and hot, like a character in RPG games or Lara Croft. “What’s in your backpack?” Zack asked as we began hiking. “Some water and protein bars.” “Let me carry it then.” She gave it to Zack since he didn’t carry anything other than a hunting rifle. But if I did, she would probably refuse.

Somehow, I don’t think kicking the ground and screaming that I’d rather stay here and fuck my girlfriend for three weeks straight would convince the pack to hang back for a while. Felicity equips us with supplies for the journey—nice backpacks meant for wolf carrying, better clothes for being seen in public, and an assortment of necessities like first aid kits and reusable water bottles. It’s probably the most supplies we’ve ever carried on a mission, and it feels like a good omen. Not just being prepared, but having Felicity so openly give it all to us. She’s as invested in this mission as we are.

Now. I sprint to the bedroom, my socks sliding on the polished floor. I throw open the closet door and shove aside the rows of designer jackets and vintage denim. I reach for the back panel, popping the false wall loose with a trembling hand. Behind it sits the bag. My mother, the terrifyingly competent spy, gave it to me for my twenty-first birthday. She didn't give me a car or a watch. She gave me a black, nondescript tactical backpack filled with cash, burner phones, and three passports with faces that looked like mine but names that didn't belong to me.

Then, she added without looking at Gray, “Well, it’s also true that humans indeed are amazing.” Hearing that, he raised his head and showed a silly smile towards Sierra. She ignored him once again and continued, “There are two types of blessed people. The one who born with it or the one who earns it. Naturally, the one who born with it is more powerful and bear a rare Blessing, but it’s once in a million. So, how about the one who earns it?” Gray questioned her back curiously, “Does it mean they can learn?”

Out of all the small, forgettable details in the world, she remembered that. A smile spreads across my face before I can stop it. It feels… nice. Being noticed. “Thank you,” I say softly. I take the chocolate bar from her and slip it into the pocket of my jacket. Her shoulders relax slightly when I accept it. Then she adjusts the straps of the backpack she is carrying. “I brought snacks,” she announces proudly. “And water... and juices...” I glance at the bag and shake my head with a quiet laugh. “You packed like we are going on a full expedition.”

He toward the entrance and saw Felan standing there with Bridget. “Well played.” He said to them. “You are stuck in here for now, I was hoping we could negotiate some peace.” Felan told him. “You hoped wrong.” “I figured as much, still I had to try.” She said, throwing him a backpack. “Despite what you think you know, we aren’t monsters. There is food and water in there.” Johnathan picked up the backpack and thought about making a run for it, but he knew that they wouldn’t be that stupid. He unzipped the bag and looked in instead. He looked back up, but the two were already gone. They had given him enough food for at least three days, four if he ate conservatively, but now he could use a lit

After treating Jenna's wound, Matthew passed her the white roses he bought. With a grin, he said, "Here. I bought you flowers to make amends. There's a fireworks show by the river tonight. Don't you love watching fireworks? How about we go together?" Jenna was uninterested and was about to say no when he swore sincerely, "Don't worry, Jenna. I'll arrange a wheelchair so that you won't be exhausted. I'll also protect you closely to make sure that the crowd won't bump into you."

he says hopeful. "Nice" I said softly mock enthusiasm. All I could think about was, I need to see a fucking masseuse after this.
