Boundless

Boundless

I really didn’t want to see anyone else at that moment except Freya and, by coincidence or plan, Aaliyah. “The journey ahead is long. You are strong. You’ll be fine.” Aaliyah tried encouraging me but I didn’t want it from her. “Take this…” She removed the back and gave it to me. “Inside it are what you need for your journey. There’s a compass that glows when you get closer to your destination.” I took the bag and hung it around my neck. The sun completely set. My ride had arrived. It was time to go. We walked together to the car the was waiting for me. My luggage was in the car already.

Only You Can Be My Wife

Only You Can Be My Wife

"What... is this for?" The woman took a look at it and explained to her with a smile, "This is a lucky bag to pray for blessings. If you have a wish, you can write your wish on a note, put the note into the bag, and then hang it on the blessing tree at the top of the mountain. It works." "Really?" After asking, Elizabeth added with excitement, "Will my dream come true as long as I write it down and hang it on the tree?"

The Tyrant alpha

The Tyrant alpha

I left it behind. I make myself stand and resettle my pack so the opening is upright. It’s not a real backpack. It’s a drawstring laundry sack that I sewed straps onto so that it was easier to deliver laundry to folks who live off the beaten paths, up on the steeper trails. I take out a package of gingersnaps and a can of cashews. While I’m in there, I take out the quilt I’ll be sleeping on. I wish I had the means to build a fire. As the sun sinks lower and my sweat dries, there’s a real chill to the air.

Then she walked up to join me in the reflection and slid a little clasp purse on a long, dainty gold chain, over my shoulder. "Put the lipstick and your credit card, and anything else you might need in there. You leave that butt-ugly backpack in the car and make a guy go get it for you if it needs to transfer vehicles," she said sternly. Then her expression softened. "I put a couple supplies in there for you. I'm guessing you aren't already... er... stocked." I frowned, then opened the little purse to find three square foil packets innocently waiting for me. I snapped it closed again, stiffening and trying to hand the purse back to Tessa. "Oh no! I don’t need… I mean, that isn't why—"

The Mafia Debt

The Mafia Debt

Relief flooded through me when my fingers closed around the cool plastic of my passport. "Thank God," I whispered, clutching it to my chest. I stuffed it into my backpack along with the wad of emergency cash from my shifts at Bella’s that had also been hidden there. Then I grabbed a few clothes from the pile, shoving them into my bag without bothering to fold them.

Binding Secrets

Binding Secrets

The pack quieted naturally—no forced hush, just respect. Mara held up a simple bowl filled with herbs and salt. Not ceremonial. Not grand. Just old tradition. “Every full moon,” Mara said calmly, “we bless what endures.” Haley’s chest tightened slightly at the word. Endures. Mara’s gaze swept the crowd. “Tonight,” she continued, “we bless the pack.” She dipped her fingers into the bowl and sprinkled a pinch into the fire. A soft hiss. A scent rose—sage, cedar, something clean.

She Runs with Wolves

She Runs with Wolves

The sky was a cool, cloudless blue, and I felt an imagined chill as I leapt out of the truck. I felt a pang of sympathy for Kathrena as she stumbled. She was weighed down by her unnecessarily large backpack, filled to the brim with various books, notepads, and fineliners, and it slipped from her shoulder and onto the gravel. I swept around to the passenger side, and, too swiftly for her to protest, grabbed her bag up from the ground. “Hey –“ she started, and then she paused, as though her brain had just caught up with her mouth. “Thanks,” she said, though she wouldn’t meet my eye.

Such an exciting read so far! I am enjoying getting to know our main characters and discovering how their lives have come together while trying to anticipate what might happen next as each chapter is released. Having just finished the entirety of The Beta’s Daughter, this author is an amazing writer
Susan
A fantastic second novel, with a refreshingly different tone from the previous entry. The mythologies in this are very well developed and I am very excited to see how the story unfolds! The protagonist and her love interest and very engaging too and I am rooting hard for them!

My Possessive Vampire King

My Possessive Vampire King

Hiking boots, backpacks filled with snacks and water bottles, cameras to capture memories, and a sense of adventure were among the items carefully stowed away for the journey ahead. Setting out to explore the winding trails that crisscrossed the forest, the group ventured deeper into the wilderness, their spirits lifted by the tranquility of their surroundings. The earthy scent of moss and fallen leaves filled their nostrils, and the distant call of a bird added a melodic touch to the symphony of nature.

His Little Wolf

His Little Wolf

I grab the backpack in the corner which has supplies for me and Bella for a few days. It's kept here just Incase the worst happens and I need to run with her and as much as I don't want to admit it, I think it has. I throw it over my shoulder, pick up Bella and put her in the baby carrier I've put on, and pray to the moon goddess that if the worst has happened, I can get us out of here. Here we go!

I really like this book so far. Even though she is 15, I'd like to see an accidental kiss between Beth and Liam (it happens in real life). Or maybe skip to her being 18 sooner and finding out her silly teen crush is really her handsome mate. So excited about updates tbh. Can't get another of reading
Amanda
I think this book was great. I will definitely give it a 5 star rating. The only thing negative I will say, is that I think you spent way to much time writing when she was still underage and sped up the book/ ended after she turned of age. I would have liked to see more of the story of Liam and Beth
